Fact is he got paid an absorbent amount of money to continue competing in a sport he loves

while I think we all agree the dollars for most of us is a level we aspire to obtain but for the man ( bob) writing the check it is a drop in the bucket

to compare this  to Juan Soto's contract  is off base - he is professional athlete vs a college athletic student

cant call them student athletes anymore as they are all looking to cash in

to be transparent I am in favor of NCAA  athletes  being paid, however the life changing $ that has become associated with it - that's  where the disconnect comes from

Pretty bold statement. I know he's a special talent. But a lot of special talents haven't won titles. Daton Fix, Thomas Gilman, Chance Marsteller, all had comparable resumes from a wrestling standpoint (I know Bo's a bigger recruit because of social media presence). I'm sure there's others, but that's off the top of my head.

Obviously anything can happen and that was indeed bold. Gable Steveson and Spencer Lee were high level recruits as well.

Do you people want to see PSU be dethroned or are you content to complain that a blue chip athlete picked a blue blood program?

I agree he can’t be compared to Soto, but not because he is a student athlete.  Because Soto actually might help bring in comparable revenue to what he’s being paid.   For example Soto can probably be compared to Arch Manning or some college football player making millions in NIL.  But no college wrestler is bringing in a million in revenue per year.

It’s great for the athletes, but this is basically a charity endeavor.  I wonder how long it can last.

Is that a fact? Show me the evidence?

The OP of this thread is pretty good evidence IMO.  But I guess we’d have to define what exactly an “absorbent” amount of money means.

Nothing less than absolute wrestling class warfare. Rather than focusing on removing Dictator Carl who won't even let the citizens of his kingdom have basic needs such as national duals, he is driving class warfare among them by sowing chaos to create RTC-ficial division. The left and right of the Mississippi need to realize his group of elites has been dividing our country through means of disinformation, dodgeball, and double legs. This is the time we come together and rise up. We must unite under Basset al-Gaib
