What is it about the word ‘pause’ that is so hard for dimocrats to understand?  They couldn’t understand it when Trump and Pennsylvania legislators asked Mike Pence to pause the electoral vote.  They missed it when a pause was applied to non critical foreign aid.  Now they’re misrepresenting it in regards to tariffs.

He did the exact opposite of what he said he would do. He said he would increase the tariffs if they retaliated. Instead, he "paused" them based upon concessions that were already made a long time ago. 

He folded like an accordion, China saw it, and now they decided to stand up to the bully too. 

His credibility is shot.

It is happening now, rather than when Trudeau wanted to do it or not do it.   You can call this a Trump cave if you want, but the tariff was less than 24 hours away, a phone call was made and action happened.   Sounds like Trudeau won?   Hardly.

I just don't understand how bad your mental gymnastics must be if you think Trump threatening tariffs unless there is better boarder control by Canada and Mexico, and then right before those tariffs were to go into effect there is a promise of better boarder control by Canada and Mexico and subsequently the tariffs are paused to see if they actually do better boarder control, is somehow a fail on Trump's part??  

This is not a commentary on tariffs themselves as I am not sure of the "good" or "bad" of them at this point...I have more learning to do in other than what the MSM spews out.  I however am in complete support of better boarder control...both ways.

Trump Caves . . . 

I am hoping to read this thread lead by RV many many times.  Every cave so far this week has been associated with good news and seems to be meeting a stated goal.  I hope to see this one soon, "Trump Caves - disbands DOGE due to lack of anything for DOGE to do."
