  • Iowa just keeps grinding higher. Credit Kyle Parco's move from $4 to #3 this week and Joey Cruz's return to the rankings. Next stop Penn State (not shown but expected points = 139.6)
  • Oklahoma State took a breather this week. While Reece Witcraft, Carter Young, and Caleb Fish saw incremental rankings gains, Troy Spratley dropped from #2 to #4, more than offsetting the gains at 133, 149, and 157.
  • The race for the final podium position remains tight. Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Northern Iowa are within 14.8 points of each other. Even Cornell and Illinois have a punchers chance.

How many AAs is this predicting for the top 3 after psu?

Looking at Intermat's rankings Iowa has 7 guys in the top 8, and OSU has 7 guys in the top 8.  Minnesota has 4 in the top 8, with another 2 right on the crusty edge of making the top 8.

Iowa as some guys that if they wrestle who is on the schedule are going to start taking some Ls. I think the gap they have on OSU is going to narrow.

The OSU/Iowa dual this year should be a blast and will answer some of our questions. I think OSU has more work to do to catch the Hawkeyes, but I've been wrong before.

Jesus Christ in a motorbike. I just looked at the version of this thread that you posted on HR. Gawd, MSU158 just can't help himself.

He does like to argue. It was starting to feel like if I said up he would reflexively say down.

Your probabilistic approach to team scores have been one of those things that after the fact seems so obvious - and yet - you're the only one I see doing this forecasting approach in the general wrestling sphere.  kudos to you sir
