From what I have heard tickets will be in short supply in Welsh Ryan, although newly renovated, but according to ticket office less than 7000? seats available because some will be closed to fit the mats in. Why not Now Arena like Midlands? 11,000 capacity, premium seating, and it looks as though that weekend it is unscheduled for anything. Just a thought

when was the last time The Midlands have had 7,000 in attendance? Recent Midlands Attendance looks to have about 1,000 fans

I agree but why hold Big Tens in that small of a venue when Now arena could hold way more people if available?

Sorry...I thought you were talking about the Midlands Tournament...That is a small. venue for B1G tournament...Rutgers held it a couple years ago in a smaller venue and it seemed to go well with less space then Welsh Ryan...Agree it should be held in best venue possible for host team but big difference in Profits from Wrestling on Campus to having to pay for off Campus venue

Are there more than 7k fans interested in going to Chicago in early March?

It’s usually Around 45 degrees in March.  Shouldn’t be to bad.

it’s in Evanston though.   Not sure about the hotel situation there?   I’m only a short distance away from nw Chicago.

I would gather that Now Arena will cost the B1G a bit more than Welsh Ryan...

Also every team is in the rotation to host.  That arena is not a home host site for Northwestern.

hahahahaha sure and the next day it's -15 wind chill followed by a warmup to allow 4" of snow. March and April are notoriously fickle with all the fake first summer days, especially as autumn is continuously pushed further back each year.
