Former Biden Staffer suggests Biden should step down now and allow Kamala to be President and finish out his term.

Just when you thought things would settle down for a while. Then you have governors coming out and warning President Trump to behave or else. Then there are Democrats who want Sotomayer to resign so Biden can appoint a younger Supreme Court Justice before Trump gets sworn in. Some suggest Kamala should be her replacement. It is crazy season all over again.

They want Joe to resign just so Kamala can go down in history as the first woman President. These people are nuts.

Biden promised her 47 so ...

Really these are smart ideas and its too late now.

People always make suggestions like this. It'll never happen. When Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota, he suggested he would step down early so his Lt. Governor could be the first woman governor of the state. Obviously that didn't happen.

Could they install her as both SCOTUS and POTUS in the dark of night? Spare us one speech?

They can install her as POTUS she can then nominate herself to be SCOTUS - democracy baby!

Kind of like how Merrick Garland was nominated for the SC but they wouldn't allow it, but then under almost the exact same circumstances, an appointment made by Trump was allowed.

No ... not really.

Yes really. The reasoning behind denying Garland was that they were 6 months from the election and McConnell said the voters should decide. Yet when Trump was less than 30 days from the election, they sped up the process to get Conley appointed before the election, instead of "letting the voters decide".
