Nelson brands won against Stanford with one point on 1:01 riding time.

Have seen many matches when the person starting and stopping the riding time clock was a bit late or early starting or let it go a bit long - and at times turning it off just a bit early.

Can the riding time be subject to a challenge? Force a video review by the refs to check it for accuracy?

1:01 riding time is cutting it darned close - even if your name is Brands and your coaches will start throwing water balloons in frustration if the time is taken away.

How about it - is this subject to challenge?

Yes. With caveats. In order to challenge timing there must be integrated timing or a view of the official score clock on the video system. I imagine not all dual matches will have this.

"Integrated timing and scoring and/or a view of the official score clock on the official video system are the only allowable timing or scoring devices to be used for video review. Integrated timing may include any timing device projected onto the video review display monitor."

This was clarified after a 2021 NCAA match (I believe) that turned on a timing error. Maybe someone with a better memory can fill in that detail.

I know Zeke Jones has wasted roughly 23 days of my life on the subject....

Braeden Davis beat Michael DeAugustino by Cael challenging this, right?

If Davis had not gotten a takedown with a few seconds left then, yes, the successful challenge of riding time would have been the winning point.
