This is a total psyops. Taylor must HATE Valencia. Why do I say that? Because who else would take such sick joy beating the cardio into his opponent.

But in all seriousness, everyone has always wondered how Zahid would do if he had a gas tank and this is his shot at growing one.

If he doesn't know how to get in shape now no one is teaching him. If you are implying he'll have taylor as a practice partner that's gonna be few and far between.

I’m pretty surprised no RTC has formed in AZ. There is a lot of money out here and a great coaching base. Larkin and Cejufo need to take the next step.

If DT keeps adding, Cowboy might pass NLWC. We will not get Yianni or Vito but I mean there is so many younger guys that can transition over. I might just be super high on Zahid coming over.

if they snag one of Forrest,Blaze,Bassett with dee already I believe Merill will be very good they would be pretty set up for 2028.

Really interested to see what level Merill,Hendrickson,Plott,Hamiti are at this year adding Zahid on top of an already dream training scenario is pretty incredible. The upper weight room is NLWC caliber now.

It's getting there but no.

Brooks definitively owns Taylor and Zahid.

Snyder owns 97.

Varner in the room every day. Some guy named Carl.

Cannon fodder includes Kerk, Mirasolas, Nickal, Truax, etc. Oh and there's a lighter world champ named Dake too.

Not sure I would say Brooks owns them but fair. I often forget Bo is still actively in the room despite doing the MMA thing. NLWC certainly still has the edge. Im interested to see what Dake does. I think for his development it may be best to stay at NLWC but perhaps getting in a room with some younger guys like Hamiti and Dee would be a fresh look for him. Nolf leaving also alleviates a bit of what I assume was tension being they were far and away the two top dogs.

This seems like an easy decision all around.

For Zahid, I don't see a better training partner than Taylor. There aren't many options either, as I don't think there's anyone in the country who is good enough to beat Zahid right now, outside of Taylor, a couple guys at the NLWC (Brooks, Snyder) and a few heavyweights. Taylor's coming off wins over Zahid, knows his opponents, and knows how to get Zahid to the next level.

For Taylor, until know he was really the only upperweight coach who could effectively challenge the OSU upperweights, except maybe Caldwell who's a bit small.  This lets him throw Zahid at these guys, including Wyatt, freeing up Taylor to do more head coaching. That, and he's going to be a favorite for 92kg for the next couple years, after which Taylor's as well suited as anyone to help Zahid compete against Brooks.

Yeah, I saw him narrowly beat Zahid and then beat DT who then went on to look considerably better at wtt's including beating Zahid twice by a greater margin than Aaron. Aaron went on to get bronze in a field that DT had dominated for years. Aaron was better that day 100% I'm not convinced he is 100% currently better than DT and I certainly would take DT in a room setting over Aaron at this time.

If anyone can beat some cardio into Zahid, it's going to be David and if Zahid can even get to like 5 minutes of cardio before he falls off a cliff, he will be a hard out for anyone in the world.

Yeah.  You're wrong here.  DT is building the RTC to be as good as the college team.  He's going to be wrestling pretty much all day.  Multiple times a day.  DT isn't going to run Zahid down to make him wrestle together, but they're going to practice together quite a bit.  That is Zahid's entire point of moving to the Cowboy RTC.  He wants to be pushed.
