I assure you I am not @WrestlingRash.  Do you think a coach who is also competing can be the best at both these jobs at the same time?  The fact that he will be traveling overseas at the very least will mean he will spend last time as his Head coach job.

Yes. I think watching your coach getting ready to face the guy I believe to be the greatest College Wrestler of all time in Sadulaev will help his coach, in recruiting, and be better from the program.

Now I am going to contradict myself.  I am excited about seeing a finals match between Sadulaev and Taylor.  If Taylor were to beat him in the finals, that would a classic ending to an incredible career.

If he loses to Sadulaev how will that effect him?

If he beats him...it depends on what Sad does next 4 years. Does he get back on top and win a couple more WC and an Olympics(I believe so) or did we see the start of the end with the injury default?

I think it'd be a bigger win than any Taylor has had...and I am skeptical he'll get it.

Good point.  If he is in the room training and his athletes are watching, great example of what you need to do.  But what if he decides he needs to fly back to PA to train with Dake for 3 weeks to prepare?

Taylor has Assistants in the room. If he has to take off for a bit they can work with it. Preferrably Dake or someone else comes in - which can only benefit all those who are there.

He is training in the room with his wrestlers and setting an example of what it takes at the highest level. Again, everyone benefits.

No matter how he places they are all part of it.

His commitment to competing is short term and then one and all get his full attention. This after a first hand look at the real world of what it takes at the top of the game.

Just as Cael and 159-0/Olympic Gold is still reaping benefits for Penn State, OSU will gain from Coach Taylor and this experience.

One big difference in wrestling and most other sports is that so many Coaches actually get on the mat and go with their athletes. A big attraction for many of these guys is the chance to roll around with a World Class wrestler who is also their coach. A lot more than "this is how you do it" and then you go out and try - they get to feel it on the mat knowing their Coach is The Real Deal.

Do you know who Sam Calavitta is? He is the nutritionist who connected TJ Dillashaw with PEDs that got him popped. Here is a photo of him and his client David Taylor. Is it normal for a guy to go from 157 up to 203 lbs of pure muscle? Just asking. If you think Calavitta isn't running a Victor Conte Balco like operation, you are on crack.

Agreed that Calavitta is fishy as heck.  What bothers me the most is how cult-like his following is.  They always mention that "Coach Cal" won an award as the best math teacher on Earth!

I don't know man...he showed pictures of a Wrestler who's got muscles. If that's not proof a guy is dirty...I don't know what is.

The only way I trust a guy in this sport is clean is if he has a John Daily like physique!

THIS is all natural!
