Seems purposely times do that Maine can't do the same thing to respond.  And the rules are potentially being changed...for no reason at all, other than to benefit one particular party.  Wild times.

I'm not sure what your point here is?  Did I ever say it's never been discussed before?  There is an active, current push to do this NOW, immediately, within 50 days, and part of the reasons for the wait has been some pushback from elected Republicans in Omaha itself as well as from the fact that Maine's laws apparently say any changes to their system have to happen at 90 days out.  That's why Lindsey Graham, a man elected in South Carolina, is actively skipping Senate votes to go to Nebraska, a state where is not elected, to try to push them to change their laws.

a few years ago they changed it, to support a different party.
