Where was that Kyle Dake?

Recommended Posts

Dake left it all on the mat in both the semifinals and his bronze medal match. He’s 33, competing well beyond his prime-and he competed despite not being able to fully prepare for the games. And he even suggested in his post match interview that he might continue to compete.

You also have to take into account that he is no longer the same Kyle Dake that looked almost unbeatable at the 2021-2023 worlds.

he lost at the 2023 worlds

I love Burroughs said Dake uses science to keep himself going. lol thats called pseudoscience.

And whatever works mentally for Dake is what’s driving him. and that’s quite effective for his age. Keep it going one or two more years. He may have to lose trials to retire

I, too, laughed out loud when he said science.

“All class, love to see it. Dake loses to Takatani in Semis, and Takatani loses in Finals, and still, they share in the fun in the medal ceremony.  No sour grapes! “

Win or lose, this is how it’s done when on the worlds stage. What an example he is to our youth coming up in the ranks!
