Is anyone else confused by the way matches have been presented in the OTT? Why did Nick Lee and Zain finish before this evening? I think the brackets are confusing. Overall, I would say the way Peacock presented things, who could follow the proceedings without Trackwrestling?

The way Flo and USA wrestling has the schedule of rounds listed out is not intuitive at all. No idea what they’re trying to tell me on this screenshot. Maybe I’m a moron, but I can’t figure it out.

Very confusing. The MFS finals presented alone and in a single series would be lights out. But instead  they had all styles together, consolations matches in all styles thrown in, some finals matching with two in the AM and others with up to two in the PM. I’m one of the few people who wants to watch MFS but that presentation really tested my patience. It was mostly boring and confusing. No disrespect to WFS. (Greco is extremely boring to me though)

Yeah, it was dumb.  It's just part of NBC doing what they have to do to keep a monopoly on the olympics.   They have always had trash coverage, so at least they did a good job with the videography...they did a better job than the big ten.

I do think they could have done a better job, but I will actually say something good about it.  They DIDN'T do the same lame horsecrap that wrestling broadcasts tend to do, which is think they have to just explain the basics tirelessly.  They presented the broadcast as if they expected their viewers to be people who knew the rules, knew the athletes, and knew what was going on.  That made things WAY more enjoyable.

The "this is how wrestling works" commentary always gets in the way of actual analysis of technique and strategy, and makes it a total bore to watch.

NBC cut that out.  And I give them major credit for that.

It's relatively simple (although stupid). All the weights that aren't qualified for the Olympics were going to have the first two matches in the morning and a third (if required) in the evening.  The qualified weights only had one match in the morning. Maybe to give more advantage to the medalists?

I think they wanted the evening to be all about the Olympics. The evening winners will all be Olympians. The winners at unqualified weights might eventually be but they still have work to do. Hence the separation.

One idea would be to have all the finals in the evening so we don’t have to sit through four hours of Greco and WFS consos in the morning and then tune back in in the evening. Some of us have things to do.

If Carl (shadow head of USAW) wanted to give an advantage he would have made Brooks wrestle Mat 2, match #1 fresh off the scale.

i am an idiot on the internet
