Red95 Posted April 20 Share Posted April 20 Top three wrestlers at each weight are considered the "national team". Only the top wrestler in each weight is "Olympic team" or "world team". You can see national team members here (at least the national team leading up to the trials). https://www.themat.com/team-usa/national-team I'm not sure exactly how they handle the non-Olympic weights. The lady on the PA said multiple times the top 4 are on the national team. She started to expound on it at one point but was cut off by action on the mat. I think JB must not have weighed in day 2. I guess because there is the possibility he'd have to wrestle 3rd place he is required to weigh in. Top 4 - Dake, Nolf, Burroughs, Messenbrink should have been on the team is my understanding.
