Right off the top, Michigan/Iowa should be great (wrestlestat has it at 16-16).

Despite the team score of Mizzou/West Virginia, West Virginia wrestled tough and that Iowa State/WV matchup should have some good matches (Titus/Echemendia, Swiderski/Watters, Hall/Carr).

Rutgers/Ohio State has the potential to have a few good matchups as well. Shawver/Bouzakis, Welsh/Turley, Geog/Poz, Slavikouski/Feldman.

wrestlestat has Oklahoma State/Mizzou at Mizzou winning 18-12. Ton of ranked matchups there.

Should be another good week of wrestling!

In the Penn State v. Ohio State match, the most interesting match is probably Bartlett vs Mendez. This is so unpredictable. I'm going to lean on Bartlett wrestling a lot like a better Cole Matthews. Bartlett will win 4-1, which for him is like a tech fall. It'll be a takedown with 5 seconds left, which is a lot of time left for Beau.

Next most interesting - Bouzakis will try to go big on Nagao while Nagao is doing his dangerous rolly-poly antics. If Bouzakis can catch him, he'll win. If he can't, he'll be on the bottom with two legs in getting hit with that always hilarious stall call when a leg rider has his opponent flattened, face planted, eating the short curly hairs off of the mat. The ref says "I need to see a little more out of you, bottom" while he's having the worst moment of his life and multiple cameras filming it. Tell me a funnier thing in this sport - you can't.

To continue to rank the most interesting - Feldman is on an upswing, but he's probably going to get run over by Sleepy DanGreg Kerkfleet. Kerk will take his night cap off, put down his cuddly teddy bear, lumber on out to the mat of proceed to catch Feldman's legs from about 8 feet away somehow.

Braeden Davis will probably walk over McCrone and never crack a smile. Who else has a chip on their shoulder on Penn State's roster? Carter is the only other one.

Kasak is really good, and I don't think we've fully seen it yet. D'Emilio doesn't strike me as a good litmus test. Kasak could win or lose, and I won't feel like I know where he ends up. D'Emilio is just too tough to read as to where he stands. He's 18-6? Nobody wrestles that much anymore, unfortunately. He's probably wearing down, not building up. Or David Evans will  come out to the mat, and everything I just said still applies.

Mitch will push for a tech. Did somebody call him a name? He wrestles like somebody talked trash about him or his mom, or something.

Levi is going to have his "break out performance" of 2024 and show us that he was starting slow intentionally. Getting ready to peak for NCAAs.

Bernard will spam sweep singles until one or three of them stick.

StarRocky (no space) will give Welsh nothing to smile about, which is convenient since he doesn't ever smile jsut like Braeden Davis.

Brooks will says his morning prayers, may be with Cael, and let the fire of the Lord run through his veins and fuel him to as many bonus points as he wants.

I don't know anything. I'm a complete moron, but I feel better now having posted this. Thanks for listening.

Davis vs Mccrone: I think davis should win this rather easily mccrone is sorta funky and could pose issues on top but after  davis got away from deagustino i doubt mccrone does anything more than potentially get a leg in and some riding time while davis works out of it

nagao vs bouzakis: nagaos speed to the leg and nics seeming inability to keep guys off his legs seems like a recipe for a lot of takedowns. I think i would actually caution nagao from throwing legs as nic seems to have a very good feel from bottom and shift his weight really well + hes incredibly explosive. Aside from nic catching something I could see nagao pushing for bonus here especially if he takes him down and flattens him out.

match of the dual: I could see this match going one of two ways. Jesse really picking his spots and having limited output and it coming down to beaus scrambling and leg defense as to who gets the takedown. Or jesse shooting himself out of the match. I dont really see a world where Jesse wins this by more than one score I believe alirez is the only person to do that both in folk and free since beaus decent, its a toss-up in my book.

149: personally, I think dylan has had a very good year Austin is just that dude. I favor Dylan in the match, but it feels like a blood round type of match it should show if kasak is ready to push for the podium.

157: could see haines push for the major expecting something like 5-2 maybe 8-2 wilcox is pretty tough

165: I really rate hepner hes scrambly and good on top. I think he keeps it to a decision but if mitchell gets on his offense early Hepner is almost certainly going to fade late so it could get ugly in that instance =.

174: welsh handfights like hes a 5th year and holds position very well, Carter is Carter. I think it takes a bit for carter to find his first takedown but then he puts on a tough ride and breaks welsh and it snowballs from there.

184: I have no idea bernie hasnt looked great since the all star to me and idk who osu is wrestling

197: geog is pretty tough that said aaron ends it early third or before the third.

285: I dont know that there is a worse matchup for feldman i think dan could snag his ankle without bending and he also has like 40lbs on him.
