Seems like he’s spinning off his Ferrari take here, but he did call Minnow a “lying wuss”

The coach doesn’t seem to punch him, something happened but I need some context to tell what’s going on tbh.

This happened this weekend... at my kids high school.... a friend of ours was wrestling on the mat next to this match. He does in fact hit him several times - Here is a better video.  He has received a lifetime ban from coaching. He also has been banned from athletic events for this year and next. There is still a police investigation going on. He will be charged with assault I am sure.

Yeah he clearly hits him.  I thought this was just Chael continuing where he left off with the “Ferrari didn’t throw a punch” bit

Yeah, I am not sure why Chael is saying he does not appear to hit him... not sure what his angle is there.

My biggest pet peeve in wrestling is the amount of people that sit mat side during a match, this isn't youth wrestling. If you're a coach get in the corner, otherwise get in the stands. 

And this clown should never be allowed anywhere near a wrestling mat again. No room for that in this sport.

Wait as I read it again he may be clarifying that in response to Minnow saying “he appears to hit him,” Chael is really saying it doesn’t just “appear,” he did

The guy was an assistant coach and his son was the one on bottom wrestling.

I initially read it as him saying there was nothing "appearing" about it, he definitely hit the kid.  Seeing how y'all read it, I could definitely see that.  My default is Mineo is a tool, so...

In this case I think Minnow just doesn’t want to get sued like the MidwestWrestle dude has threatened to do to him

I will say this as a side note.... No matter what you see of Chael in the media, he has been a legit cool guy off camera. He has been very supportive of Oregon State wrestling.... I've talked with him several times and he couldn't be a nicer guy.  Just my experience with him.

yeah... I wouldn't disagree with that. 

Another weird thing is that his kid (bottom) isn't even phased by what the top wrestler is doing and even tries to hip over him as dad comes to the rescue.
