Masoumi is wrestling with his hands down to the mat.  He knows Parris is going for a TD.

Shot Parris... turns the corner... TD... 9-6 with 40S to go.

Shot Parris.  Stuffed.

Shot Parris stuffed.

Shot Parris, go-behind Masoumi as time goes out.   11-6 for Masoumi.

Impressive.

Snyder - Ghasempour on Mat C now.

Snyder has had quick matches thus far.  Ghasempour has had grind-out matches.  Lets see if gas tank plays a factor here.

Well... bigger than when they last wrestled.

Wick scratches back to lose 6-6 on criteria to Nokhodi, btw.

2-0 Snyder at the break.  A lot of jostling for position.  Man Ghasempour looks big compared to what we are used to.

He's doing a good job of controlling Snyder's head in spurts.

Am I an idiot for thinking Parris is the superior wrestler? Masoumi is just so big and strong it's very hard to deal with. On some of his step outs the guys are lifted off their feet.

Parris outwrestled him.

Masoumi out-sumo'd him.

Awesome sequence there... Ghasempour in deep, hipped in... some actual heavy scrambling... go-behind by Snyder... looked as much like Ghas either gave up or thought he was on the edge.

Fatigue may be a factor.

4-0 1m8s to go.  Snyder up.

Ghas is still laying on the gas... lets off with about 10s to go.  Snyder wins 4-0.

Even with more size it doesn't look like the gap has gotten any smaller between these two.

Savvy veteran wrestling there by Snyder.

Schultz is down 2-1 on Mat B right now with 1m6s to go to Margishvili of Georgia.

He only needs one point, because Georgia is on the clock... it will only be 10S to go when it expires.

8S to go... not sure who has criteria here... 2-2.

Looks like Margishvili had criteria.  He wins.

Looks like if Macchiavello wins his next match in Repechage he will face Trumble.  The winner between that match will wrestle for Bronze.

Well, something to build on.  If I'm not mistaken, he may be the only one of several of our guys to make it the distance.  Hopefully familiarity will help future improvements.

He needs to figure out how to wrestle someone with that length advantage on him.

Cassioppi had that problem his last time out at U23s as well.  Lost to some skinny guy from Georgia via Tech that was just insanely tall and long who wasn't necessarily a superior wrestler.

Geog of Ohio State has that problem at 197lbs this year, too.
