sense it seems possible Iowa will a lineup reminscent of when hollywood hogan started the NWO, what would the ultimate heel team look like?

125:

133: Tony Ramos (he was boring to watch and ran his mouth anyway. Beats out desanto for me)

141:

149:

157:

165: Johny Hendricks

174: Starocci

184:

197: AJ Ferrari

285: That oklahoma heavyweight from a few years back who was an idiot

Some of these people are here for being obnoxious, others cause they esem like legit bad people, but basically whats the lineup that that seems like WWE heels.

For 285 are you talking Heindselman because he is still there?  The one who "faught" with AJ Ferrari at Bedlam?

For me, Starocci and Ferrari are great ones.  I'd try to have Bo Nickal on there too.  The condescending way he would fake empathy for those he beat

The east Lansing strangler at 125?

not a bad idea, i think he was generally liked though? Us wrestling people don't really care about choking, they love dave schultz for it.

yes heindselem. loud, stupid, not great at wrestling, he was like the bad guy in the green mile.

Nickal is interesting, because there are plenty of people who would scoff at the idea, but I don't like him and completely agree the fake empathy is disrespect to me.

Maybe mocco at hwt?  Didn’t he stomp someone at the end of a dual or something

mocco had that persona, but if you pay attention he's a pretty straightforward guy, he kicked the michigan state hwy in the butt. so i could never bring myself to dislike him.

i know you understand the premise and this is sort of a low blow on my part, but not all predators play with thier food. Nickal stormed off when taylor beat him in the olympic trials finals, thats the test of character.

Whose the coach?  Pat mineao or the brands brothers

downey was the massive miss on my part, put him in at 184.

Minnow has got to be the coach. People dislike the brands but no one is saying they aren't tough or are bad people.

If Minnow is not relevant to be the coach (high possibility), then he can be color commentator, or director of social media

Brent Metcalf with his Final answer.  NCAA has never seen a bigger heel.

to me he's a worse version of ramos (for the purposes of this list). Metcalf had the half smart iowa bravado, but i give him a pass because he wrestled that hard.

125: Matt McDonough, perhaps? Didn't seem like too bad a guy, until his senior year meltdown, highlighted by him throwing his B10 medal in the garbage and refusing to attend the award ceremony. Definitely a heel-type move.

Funny how this contributes to teams being shut down

My ballot:

125- Iowa guy

133- Iowa guy

141- Iowa guy

149- Metcalf

157- Iowa guy

165- Iowa guy

174- Iowa guy

184- Iowa guy

197- Iowa guy

285- Iowa guy

I fully acknowledge that many on this list might be good people, this is competition only.

How deep are we going on this in terms of heel definition? There are a few athletes who fell rather far afoul of what is expected in decent society (even before gambling 😁), are we taking any of that into account?

Posted (edited)

(for tigerfan)yeah, but the fun part about the topic is refining the idea of who is unlikable. Iowa is only one type.
