Anyone know if there is a database with all division 1 wrestling results?

I know wrestlestat has searchable match results but I’d like to be able to access the entire dataset to run some stats.

Does wrestlestat compile their own data or are they pulling from somewhere?

Thanks Britt! @SetonHallPirate

This is great.

Couple questions:

Is there a way to dump all of the data into a cvs/excel?

Do you have tables for previous years as well? I didn't see a link on your site.

Thanks

I actually keep it in an Excel file on my computer. As far as the site, it's not mine, it's @Jason Bryant's.

The page is more or less a sandbox of things I work on. I was using the Pirate's weekly results dump to see how hard it would be to create reports and expedite the development of my annual preview guide (I also paid him a "license fee" of sorts for my use of his data compilation).

I'm sure @SetonHallPirate can send the full sheet easier than I could, since my almanac page has a lot of proprietary tables from my own research that I've posted for the public to consume if they wish, but not to take - so there's some copy protection on the site for that reason.

An old t-shirt?

Pirate puts a ton of time into that stuff during the season. His results match what the NCAA uses for qualification, so it's worth a bit more than that. He doesn't get paid for that time, so I try to at least reciprocate some type of financial appreciation for what he compiles.

And he's not my size.

I don’t really market it since there are numerous things that are active projects that are partially done. I also don’t know MySQL that well yet, so I’m cheating the display with a wordpress plugin until I fully understand it/have the time to learn it.

It’s a quick thing that helps me solve other people’s bar bets, too.

I’m in the same boat with my site. I get by with plugins but I’m sure there are better ways to display data.

I actually had a guy on Upwork write a custom plugin for me. Very reasonable price.
