Just Clarion and National Duals for tournaments?

edit: idk why, but I expected them to have one more individual style tournament

It feels like we basically get the same schedule every year…kind of boring really.

I mean Columbia, Bellarmine and Kent State (or someone similar)…you might lose three matches in those duals combined. I’d just like to see some variety and a little higher risk…challenge these guys a little bit.

Maybe NDI?

Wild, I just looked probably about 10 minutes before that to see if they had and nothing

B1G Mothership likes to do a coordinated release; it's why they always come in a cluster not at the school's discretion like everyone else

Yea I love NDI for what it is. Participate in it every year no question. And kind of like @MoveCountermove alluded to, you expect/hope for even a regional tournament…or put one on yourself and run the individual brackets.

Yeah I went back to last season and Michigan was in NDI and 2 additional tournaments. I’d like to see that formula retained, 3 tournaments with one being a team tournament.

I feel you on the scheduling being comparable year on year. Love to see variety and allow each athlete in each graduating class to have traveled around a bit and wrestled plenty of schools. Your conference schedule for 4-5 years is already going to offer plenty of repeat matchups, I prefer the nonconference schedules to be a better mix of challenges and otherwise easier opponents to help tune up.

VMI, MSU Open, Columbia, Rider, Northern Colorado…followed by CKLV. It’s fine, but that’s all it is, fine. Veazy transferred to UNC so that’s neat I guess. Columbia and Rider each usually have a dude or so. But, you could be wrestling 2-3 duals against opponents from the bigger conferences, have a bit of a challenge and opportunity to work through some things before conference season, and have a schedule that contains fun and tough matchups - Stanford, UNC, Oklahoma, OSU, whatever. Maybe you get beat, maybe guys lose matches they would otherwise win…I personally would like that more than watching 1.5 months of good teams beating up bad teams. And I’m not saying to schedule only hard matchups, but cupcakes ain’t it, either

Interesting artifact sandwiched between indiana and nebraska if you squint...

No dual against Purdue this year seems odd, but that's the B1G for you.

The Iowa dual is on a Friday at Huff Hall. Hoping the gym gets nice and packed for that one! Looks like a typo on the schedule page with the Maryland dual (senior night?), where the post on twitter and the news story on the website have it right (sunday 1/31), but schedule page is incorrect.

I hate to say it but I like what Oklahoma State is doing…DT will have those guys wrestle whoever wants to come get some. That’s awesome. Then of course you have the others worried about protecting a legacy etc…I don’t need full DT but meet me somewhere 80% at least lol

There should be protected games like in football…TOSU vs TTUN happens every year. You would think Indiana vs Purdue would be the same…I believe they are for football
