Interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I didn’t know there was any wrestling people on there. Would be great to get more conversation and wrestling news going on bsky.

I noticed the same. It is kind of like hiding my light under a bushel basket, but I just can't bring myself to be subjected to the Twitter algo.

#wrestling NCAA tournament qualifiers by years since high school

Some random stuff I looked at for the 5 in 5 write up, but wound up not using. Still, I thought it was interesting.

Good stuff.  If you are just looking at NCAA qualifiers do you need to exclude 2020 since there was a bracket/qualifiers before the tourney was cancelled?  Assume it won't change much and will look like the before covid years line.

Just goes to my original thought that 5 for 5 is unnecessary, just go back to the old pre covid rules.

Also, really puts into perspective how impressive the true freshman national champs were.

I never understood the Olympic redshirt for wrestling… heck, the NCAA women’s hockey teams just played three weeks without their best players who were at the Olympics.

Probably has to do with training for FS (supposedly)...

Yes, I did exclude 2020.
