24 years ago we experienced one of, if not the, darkest and most tragic days in the history of our nation. 8 years ago my community woke up in the morning and began picking up the pieces of the destruction left behind from Hurricane Irma 3 years ago my wife went under the first of many surgeries and treatments for a very rare form of cancer, that would take her life just 17 months later 2 years ago we finished the last room of the almost total rebuild of our home from the destruction of Hurricane Ian This morning I woke up hoping to see people realizing the hatred and division is going to bring us down and start a different path, only to see it amplified all over the place. I think beginning in 2026, September 11 is going to be spent way out in the ocean, or up deep in the mountains…totally off the grid.

My memory of a quarter century ago isn't nearly as rose coloured. I remember a nation hell bent on revenge. People with even a hint of middle eastern descent were viewed as terrorists. A Sikh (not even the same region) was beaten because of his headwear. The country was just as divided then as we are now.

Stereotypes are built on facts, but can be misrepresentations and lead you astray. They are necessary.

A fluke?

It is logical in accordance to generalizations. At the senior level, the attributes for success involve personal responsibility. Grind in the practice room. Grind watching videos. Grind on strength and conditioning. Healthy mind. Healthy body. Be diligent while your competition is sleeping. Be humble and grateful. Have heart. Challenge. Confidence. One on one. Create and execute your plan. The result of the match is on my merit alone. The most dominate (often entertaining) wrestler is the most liked wrestler. Wrestling is one of the oldest grittiest sports. Wrestling is strongly aligned with right values. If we took a survey, which politics would align with these statements? People that agree with the first five will skew left. People that agree with the last two will skew right. There is room for everything in between. Underdogs and minorities should be spotted 5 points. The wrestler won/lost because they have one leg. The loser should have their hard raised and be given a participation medal. The loser lost because the rules were biased against them. The loser lost because their training environment was unfair. The loser lost because they did not prepare as much as the winner. The winner won because of their merit.

Not basing my worldview on stereotypes is not pandering to political correctness. It's pandering to correctness. Stereotypes are wrong, and I'm not talking morally, but factually. I am grateful to be aware that I am stupid. Can you imagine betas so weak-minded and captured that they cannot use generalizations to make quick decisions? Rather they must pander to political correctness?

The only one you’re convincing is yourself. To believe this was the logical outcome would be to adhere to the speech is violence and violence is speech philosophy. Kirk repeatedly promoted protecting school kids. We all do, just like we protect our banks and treasuries. Thinking you can solve anything by taking black guns away is ignorant. I don’t remember anyone making similar comments when the MN lawmakers were shot. From the President down it was denounced, but it was an entirely different matter.

Yes, for the people who are saying this has to be a professional, there are 10s of thousands of people in this country capable of making that shot - hunters, ex-military, general gun enthusiasts, etc...

200 yds isn't the most difficult shot with a zeroed in rifle and a practiced shooter. Beyond that, the who and why is purely conjecture. Maybe politically motivated or maybe some dude trying to impress an actress like Hinkley did.
