  1. Past hour
  2. So far your argument for is cuz Trump said so. Meanwhile, the gerrymander project gives them an overall A grade and an A for partisan fairness. You are not bright, but you are loyal. A perfect Trump Republican.
  3. What has become most clear to me is there are a significant number of people here who completely don't understand what gerrymandering is. While they give evidence of the effects of it they think they are making an argument against it.
  4. What’s even more interesting about the handshake theory is that the other person knows Trump has a firm handshake and tries being as firm or firmer than he is. Wouldn’t that mean that both hands could bruise? I mean as a trained KGB agent Putin would know all the pertinent pressure points right? Also, if you watch handshakes there are occasions where one or the other (trump has done this as have others back to him) uses their second hand to come over the top of their counterparts hand. This could very well cause bruising on the top or the bottom if there’s enough pressure. Maybe we’re to believe two hands are stronger than four fingers or an individual thumb.
  5. As hard as concept it is for some here to grasp, there are a whooooooole lot of people who do not vote a straight line party ticket. There are a whooooooole lot of people that the stance on the issues is more important than the letter next to the name. There are also a whooooooole lot of people that understand the more local the election (mayor/city council vs governor vs president), the more direct impact it has on your life.
  6. My wife grew up on a farm in Iowa. She would love to go back. She likes Oregon and Florida too. I wouldn’t move to Portland though. That place is crazy
  7. Yes. From 1992-2024 a Democratic candidate has won Massachusetts every time with 60% - 66% of the vote. The last time a Republican won the presidential vote in Massachusetts was 1984 (Reagan vs Mondale). That is 10 straight elections where they voted for a Democratic candidate for president, yet in the same time they have had 5 Republican and 2 Democratic governors. The reality of Massachusetts is that 64% of voters are neither enrolled as Democrat or Republican. Meanwhile only 26% are registered as Democrat and only 8% are registered as Republican. So unlike the sheep @Offthemat and @El Luchador, sometimes they vote one way, sometimes they vote the other way. They clearly view state politics differently than national politics.
  8. I've spent time in most every state. There are so many wonderful areas in this country that politicians have made a living hell. Chicago has a wonderful vibe and so much to do but the trade off isn't worth it. Iowa isn't to far from Chicago I think that's where I'd set my roots if I was starting over. I like Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming but my wife has already decided our next home is going to be in Texas. It's so f'ing hot in the summer it's unbelievable.
  9. There’s no way to know the numbers one way or the other. Sorry. And even though you think the number of followers a social media nobody has actually counts it doesn’t prove any of those followers actually read it and even if they did that they cared. That being said a quick google search tells you that when comparing the two events the Sydney Sweeney topic had more severe discussions due to the racial accusations (eugenics) as where the cracker barrel discussions were more around the modern update to the logo. This would lead one to believe that there were more undies in a bunch over Sydney than Cracker Barrel https://www.google.com/search?q=was+sydney+sweeneys+jeans+ad+more+controversial+than+yhe+changing+if+thr+cracker+barrel+logo&rlz=1C9BKJA_enUS1057US1057&oq=was+sydney+sweeneys+jeans+ad+more+controversial+than+yhe+changing+if+thr+cracker+barrel+logo&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCTM0MzM4ajBqN6gCGbACAeIDBBgBIF_xBR1rdKZ_F2mx&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  10. After my kids get into college or roughly that age I’m out of cook county. Crime and taxes. Crazy place. Wish I had retirement $$$ when my kids were 2 ish and 4 Ish I would have moved then. Now they’re in hs or close and want to stay with friends. Etc. Wisconsin or Indy or somewhere warm. Maybe both lol 6/7 more years and I’m gone
  11. Whenever I have business in Chicago I stay in Wisconsin or Indiana. They accept my CCW permit. I'd rather stay in Gary armed than Chicago unarmed.
  12. I was gonna ask his source for his numbers lol.
  13. There’s literally no way you could substantiate that. And even bigger picture….on a board full of silly arguments, this one would have to be at the top of the list. Debating which ‘side’ has more mad people is as dumb as the people getting mad in the first place!
  14. Today
  15. This is evidence of gerrymandering. How do you guys not understand this? It's getting mind numbing.
  16. That’s a lot. Sorry to hear that. I lived outside of Chicago and worked in Chicago heights for some time. Fortunately never had any of those experiences.
  17. So you realize it was a stupid, irrelevant question and now that you’ve been called on it you’re going to weasel out, using any slimy tack you can imagine.
  18. Whatever boss … they weren’t all in the last year though.
  19. I’ve been victim of property crime in Chicago 3 times in the last two years. Yes. Shot my windows out of my car twice. Car Stolen once. not as recent but I was mugged on Cicero Ave (the ghetto) at gun point stealing my coat and shoes … had to walk home in the snow. We were jumped by the 2-6 at a party. Several friends put in the hospital. I got beat … but not hospitalized. Is that enough ?
  20. What? I am calling BS.
  21. In case you couldn’t tell by whom I quoted…I wasn’t asking you. Run along little fella.
  22. You can’t have it both ways. Give me one good reason Chicago released that illegal aloens who cut some poor woman’s head off and stuffed her in a barrel and messed with her corpse. ? These cities stopped policing. It’s why they’re shyte holes in certain areas
  23. What possible reason could there be for this question?
  24. Agreed, and “one” does happen in red states, blue states, and purple states, but I’ll await his answer.
  25. I can’t wait for his waterlogged answer to this.
  26. Unfortunately one can be enough ... one and done.
