I think Ryan Holmes said he was pretty set on going home to Chattanooga but someone reached out to him late and he wanted to at least check it out; no idea who that institution is though -

Thanks - I think it actually works on both ends but we'll see what happens -
Or…. We could prioritize the sport that is far more popular….. before we ruin the sport we have. It’s also hard to be more dominant than literal #1. also. GR is barely worth mentioning.

Brayton Lee wins 4-2 over guy from Ukraine. Where is he training? Singlet says Knights -
Or... you could try to imagine how dominant we would be were we to focus on only teo styles, MFS & MGR rather than three (those two + Folkstyle).

Vito wrestled another Ukrainian on Mat 2 (edit: was this the final? Not sure). Kerymov. Vito with his head wrapped. 1-0 Vito after the first (shot clock I think)? Vito close to a TD out of bounds but only gets 1 for the pushout, 2-0. Ukraine gets 2 on the Mitch McKee style chin whip, but Vito finishes on top for 1, 3-2 Vito with under 30 to go. Ukraine does the same thing again, 4-3 Ukraine, then hangs onto the leg for awhile. Vito comes out for another 1 but down 4-4 on criteria. Vito with a YOLO challenge and shallenge loast, 5-4 final -
U17 world champs. I guess folkstyle isn’t ruining our talent on the world stage and we really don’t need to turn folkstyle into freestyle.

The REAL World Championships Started Today
Wrestleknownothing replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in College Wrestling
Sadly for us distance swimmers, Bobby Finke came home with the bronze. A lot of criticism of US Swimming leadership coming off these worlds. The men massively underperformed while the women underperform, but did much better. I should have said the lack of leadership. They have not had a CEO for over a year now. Bad decision making led to a training camp in Thailand where a big chunk of the team got sick, leading to an unprecedented number of scratches and performances well behind their best. It was so bad that Rowdy Gaines, Ryan Lochte, and Michael Phelps had their criticisms. The US did wind up with the most golds and most total medals, but still finished well below expectations. -
Iran goes 2-7 in medal matches USA goes 6-1.
