And then when you plot the trend, I bet there is minimal change of one takedown matches comparing the most recent years prior to 2023 and 2024-2025.

Another huge issue with your analysis was discounting overtime matches. Are fewer matches going to overtime with this rule change? How did removing tech falls impact your analysis? Are more matches now ending in technical fall?

Ok but I don’t think scores like 2-0 (escape + RT) or 2-1 (2 escapes + RT) would necessarily be “rounding errors.” They’d be counted among your 2024 & 2025 data, but not 2022 & 2023.

Zahid is a medal threat at 86 but certainly not a lock, Dake is on the wrong side of 30 and it took 17 years of complaining at Paris for him to get fired up enough to squeak out bronze before moving up two weights. The rest of 86 is unproven. I am highest on McEnally on the senior circuit but that's not the present and folkstyle wear & tear may do no favors. 74 has three u20 world champs and Carr/KOT and Carr/MM are already budding rivalries pushing each other. I'll take that for overall depth knowing any of those three could be dropped into the bracket and bring home a medal rather than one probable medal lock (Zahid) and drop-off. If they have talked about how they are going to try to meet with the victims, as they spoke about Maxwell before the meeting was arranged, I must have missed it. Inaction can speak just as loudly as action. One would have to be a fool to not see how controlling the narrative has been completely on the table (yes by both this administration and those against this administration). If they were trying to contact and meet with the victims, we would be hearing about it. And they wouldn’t have to release their names to let us know they are trying to meet with victims.
