In DT's defense for Wyatt, Wyatt was probably third or fourth on the American ladder before he went to Stillwater. Now a lot of the guys ahead of him did not compete this year but he beat two guys in folk that were clearly ahead of him before going to Stillwater.

Last few meetings have not been particularly competitive outside of the actual score imo. I don't think Kyle can let Azarpira in like he allowed Yoshida. My perception on it despite Azarpira beating Taz is probably that it's closer than I thought going in, but I would still probably have it like 70:30 Azarpira.

I see it go down similar to Taylor vs yazdani. Firouzpour style is very annoying to wrestle against for a lot of wrestlers . but hidlay can counter the underhooks and actually gets takedowns. Bad matchup for firouzpour.

I think Trent talked about having a mindset shift at pan am's. He was not super happy with how he wrestled at final x and decided his only focus was going to be to score as many points as possible. I'll be interested to see If Barr closes the gap next year or if it widens in Trent's favor. Seems like a 2-horse race at 92 for the foreseeable future unless Sinclair puts on a little size to help him out.

That is one thing about freestyle I don't like is the either or positions. Leaves way too much to interpretation.

I'm rewatching now I'll score it.. Trent took a shot off his underhook, got stopped and taken though for 4.. and then Gad is on top and guts him to go up 6-0. Hidlay with a nice edge takedown 6-2 Then Gad gets the controversial 4. I would have scored it 4-2 in favor of red. So 8-6 for Gad Then the next controversial position where they gave 2 to Hidlay where I thought it should have been 2 for blue (thank God it wasn't or it would have been a tech). 10-6 for Gad 2 takedown for Hidlay to make it 10-8. another 2 for Hidlay to make it 10-10. The last four probably could have easily been called 4-2 for Hidlay to make it 14-12. It's freestyle, sure, Trent initiated every attack, but you can't get chest wrapped and expose your own back as you go for the takedown and not give up points in the process.

Don't be that guy. Trent dominated everyone he faced in the world at 92 KG except 92 KG. My statement is factually true.
