  1. i've said it before, but given how long it took him to make a team, it's arguable that there isn't a person you could name who probably could have maintained the "fire" better.
  2. Well i find your definition so generic that I think you undervalue true leadership.
  3. Ferrari's recruiting process is making me realize how impressive it was that PD3 managed to get run of by 3 big time programs.
  4. I agree all programs have their flaws and no one should be allowed to talk about them.
  5. I'd does him with adderall before said contest and he's lose his super spaz powers.
  6. for my benefit, please summarize the conflict from your perspective.
  7. i honestly don't see any logical cohesion to what you're saying. Please elaborate.
  8. This is an unusually blunt post but I had a nice thought and people swallow those too often. If you'd asked me if WKN was smart I'd say very, but the characteristic that occur to me is that he's extremely methodical and disciplined and curious about raw data. This makes him way more useful than most smart people I know.
  9. you're right, all programs are equal.
  10. I assume it means he hasn't declared a major. He's probably taking music appreciation.
  11. gives "a cry for attention" a whole new meaning
  12. this is a joke right?
  13. just cause I hate michigan now
  14. yeah definitely "a thing" for me, the idea probably has more momentum in my consciousness than it should.
  15. I periodically try to break my brain reading nietzsche for 2 minutes.
  16. I almost did a clarification of the "can't coach" thing, but I assume anyone who wants to read aggressiveness into what I'm saying is going to do it anyway. I should say, "Compared to programs with comparable resources and many with inferior, tOSU's athletes display a disproportionate amount of unnecessary short comings."
  17. This is not really an argument, but Cael's wrestling was so much more beautiful than Dake's. Dake is amazing because he's good at winning, brawls or chess match it doesn't matter, but he's gonna pick whatever route makes victory more likely. Cael's balance of handfighting, motion, shots, tricks was like a wrestling symphony. I do think that mentally Cael was spent after his college career. Despite the success I think the stress of defending perfection every match did some damage.
  18. Because their wrestlers are consistently mediocre at skills which are teachable and represent pivotal moments in competitive matches or bridging the gap from winning to dominating. Examples include, front head/head under chest, mat returns, getting off bottom...these are things many programs do solidly up and down their lineups. The also have a tendency for guys to peak really early. Myles Martin, Nathan Tomasello and Bo Jordan are examples of guys who made the gains you make from acclimating to the intensity and physicality of a college room, and then didn't grow or regressed. They also have more weight cuts seem to turn public than most programs. (Sasso, Snyder, Moore). The following shocks me so badly I've gone back to make sure its real a few times, in Stieber's Flo film, he says when he was a freshmen that he used to skip practice because he felt like garbage and would just float off the last few pounds. That's incompetent.
  19. I don't personally dislike Tom Ryan at all. You could just ask me for evidence they can't coach and expose me as an idiot, or maybe even learn a little something heaven forbid. Its childish to argue with someone and not even bother figuring out what they thing.
  20. Has it been mentioned that he was too dumb to remember riding time? And on a more serious note, 4.0 GPA doesn't mean anything. People who know which courses to take, and are good at school, can do this with very little effort. If he's in a STEM field with a 4.0 thats a big deal.
  21. This topic should be called, "Jimmy is terrified Bassett might go to iowa".
