people hate it when i say this but i'll do it again. If you were ranking wrestlers by sheer toughness, let downs moments, body language, dealing with adversity, he's behind most of the other super top tier guys.
do you know how I would descibe it, suriano as a little dake sprinkled in. metcalf had close matches for sure but spititually seemed wed to an aggressive style. Suriano is a little more "i hate losing more than i like winning"
the comparison is still interesting. Suriano has better position, metcalf more offensive...interesting to think how they benefit or suffer from free vs folk circumstances.....suriano wrestles a very modern stiyle, metcalf very mid 90s...hard to gather my thoughts.
its understandable, but some seeding meetings just try to find good criteria and cram it down. Its kind of admirable because you eliminate the possisbility for corruption while guaranteeing the accusation of incompetence.
exactly. there is a technical reason that the team title needs to be decided in a dual, that being that there is no other way to make the season matter at all.
but you know me.....
i just don't like it that someone made a fairly interesting point and you tried to trump them with a fact he was obviously already aware of...which is completely uninteresting.
yeah thats a great point, and its why duals (actually duels) have to matter. you can't cradle your studs if you need them every week. The NCAA should basically do a college football thing and three weeks later do the individual and not score it. Does anyone really think those guys wouldn't wrestle as hard at the individual tournament if there wasn't a team race?
