  1. I wanted Spencer to win that match bad, but I am confused as to how that was not four. Looking forward to seeing some of the other camera angles from cameras on on the floor.
  2. Obviously your point is still valid, but did Burroughs have to go through a bracket in 2017 after losing at the olympics? I think we saw a realistic view of what Burroughs has left last year vs Marstellar. He is certainly not my favorite to even make the finals against Dake, but if you aren't on your game he will get you. If he makes the finals it will be from championship experience.
  3. I think Jacob Kasper might have mentioned something a while back about it being a program with not much funding or resources. They had a good run with him and the finesilvers hopefully they can replicate that in the future.
  4. As Phantom said Hoftra was really tough. I don't know about Binghamton's dual performance, but I believe Pop had 4 AA's there (one of whom was Gwiz) and had the team finish 14th at 2012 NCAA's.
  5. I might be in the minority here, but its going to be tough for anyone to do what the likes of Tom Ryan & Pat Pop were doing at Hofstra & Binghamton respectively now that we are in the days of NIL, Transfer portal and the facility arms race. I don't think a coach should be allowed to have a program be an absolute dumpster fire, but I also don't see why people would expect major results at some of these smaller schools. The big ten is probably the exception here where are if you are at the bottom for a few years, I could see a school making a change.
  6. I like that for Lee. If Lee loses to Iran I like irans chances against musakaev more than otoguro
  7. Nick Lee woke up feeling dangerous going upper body with Gomez lol
  8. What’s odd to me is that Taylor barely won at the Olympics with a late takedown, and then Yazdani beats him at worlds. I thought Yazdani might be turning the tables at that point but he has had nothing for Taylor the last two bouts.
  9. I could be off base here, but it feels like Dake always does just enough to win, and sidakov has been so clutch in short time. I don’t see how Dake beats him.
  10. Dakes chest lock, even when he doesn’t score is amazing
  11. I quoted before I saw the video I swear
  12. Great Simpsons reference
  13. Happy chance got the W, thought he looked a little timid out there.
  14. Uzbekistan 57 was an naia champ this year!
  15. Who is this Greek dude ?
  16. Wow down goes Chamizo
  17. Finally remembered my password to login! Let’s go USA!
  18. Some might disagree, but to me the original post is just ranking the world team. Burroughs is still on this list for sure and Yianni & Gilman should probably still be on it as well until some of these other guys medal at worlds.
  19. I didn't think Zahid would be eligible to wrestle for Mexico anymore?
  20. Awesome, thank you for letting me know. Seems like a solid school! Hopefully they can pull the best from Texas and some Oklahoma guys!
  21. Saw flowrestling posted about 5 days back that a new d1 wrestling program was coming, looked like Ayers and Ward seemed to gave knowledge about what was coming? Does anybody have info on what this might be? Sorry if I missed another thread...
  22. Thanks, like I said my greco knowledge isn't the best...but I'm trying to become a bigger fan!
  23. wanted to get some thoughts discussion started on the world teams. I don't know much of anything about greco but trying to become a more all around fan. 55 Brady Koontz - Has junior and U23 World Teams so he has experience. 60 Ildar Hafizov - won some matches and was top ten at worlds, hopefully he can build on that. 63 Xavier Johnson - Sorry I don't know much here! 67 Alejandro Sancho - returning world team member, won a match last year. 72 Pat Smith - Believe he has been on 3-4 world teams now. Hopefully his experience will help! 77 Kamal Bey - Seems like he hasn't competed in a while, but he is fun to watch. Hope he can finally get a medal. 82 Spencer Woods - I don't know much about him! 87 Zach Braunagel - Lets hope he can do to everybody at worlds what he did to Vera! 97 Joe Rau - former world team member, always good to have experience. 130 Colton Schultz - Back again, won a match last year really hoping he can medal.
  24. I may be in the minority on this, but I agree with this sentiment after all the changes that have come recently. When the transfer portal became a thing, I thought it was a good thing for college athletes to be able to move freely if something changed with their situation at their previous school. It is when the NIL became legal that now I feel we should have one or the other. If an athlete gets paid that's great, but they should be locked in for a duration at that point IMO. I realize there are probably several good arguments against this...just my knee jerk reaction.
