  1. Biden and the White House (before the ethics office got involved) declared he was working to defeat MAGA policies. Corporate media constantly uses MAGA with the intention to denigrate groups of people and policies. I suppose it’s used in the same way as the right uses Marxist to describe the left and their policies. That’s where I’m confused by the left’s “redefining” of MAGA to mean something bad, when it is Make America Great vs Marxism. I guess progressives think there are more Americans who agree with Marxism than those who want to make America great.
  2. There are so, so many better reasons for staying away from these parts, but, so long as you don’t take it too seriously, it’s not so bad.. I feel like some people take things too personally and probably wind up yelling at their kids and beating their dogs after spending too much time here.
  3. Was it better than Puerto Rican Sea Bass?
  4. There are plenty of people (from politicians to corporate media to people on here, say, you) who are calling the House investigations into Biden a waste of time, a witch hunt, republicans not doing their job, etc. Corporate media tried to play up Hunter’s plea deal as being harsh, and saying no normal person would ever be charged at all, and they are constantly playing defense for democrats. I’m not defending Trump. He’s clearly a dumbass, and I’m fine with him going to jail. At the same time, I’m calling for more, not fewer, politicians of all parties to be investigated, charged and imprisoned for any and all crimes they commit. I still don’t get how MAGA became a slur other than for TDS. What is wrong for wanting America to be great? Are you embarrassed to be an American?
  5. I’d say about 5% of the threads on the NWT forum have anything to do with the title of the thread by page 2.
  6. Swing and a miss on answering that question. His question was how would you rank, Beast, Powerade, Super 32, Cheesehead, etc.
  7. I guess my point is the average bear is arrested and charged with very little evidence under a very low probable cause threshold (even when there is exculpatory evidence known), and they are usually overcharged because the prosecutor knows he can get a plea for a lesser charge without ever having to prove anything. However, there is a demand for undeniable proof, perhaps a confession, before certain people will entertain that Bidens should even be investigated, let alone charged. There is no such thing as justice if it isn’t applied equally to all, and it is clear that it is not, and, for the life of me, I don’t know why any normal person, Democrat or Republican, would condone it ( even encourage) it based on partisanship.
  8. I don’t truly care to know. Like I said, put them all in prison. Take what is known about the Bidens (and every politician, for that matter), and put it in front of a grand jury. The only way a grand jury doesn’t indict is if the prosecutor doesn’t want them to.
  9. I wrote that sloppily.. meant to say “knowledge of doing so being illegal”. The motivation or intent does not matter. He is a swamp creature. Not a republican. It does not matter if he didn’t want to charge her. That would’ve been up to the prosecutor. He was supposed to investigate and collect evidence, not declare “no reasonable prosecutor would file charges.” That was unprecedented.
  10. GWN said all politicians are corrupt and self-serving. I agree. Any chance we have to get rid of a career politician, we should take it. You seem to want a higher level of evidence against democrats than republicans (or more precisely you attack republicans while giving democrats a pass). Even with video evidence of Biden accepting a bribe, you’d come up with an excuse (probably that it was AI-generated ). What concrete evidence do you have that makes you so sure Trump is absolutely guilty? Hearsay? An audiotape of him “bragging” about a document, though at the same time you say anything that comes out of his mouth is a lie?
  11. If you steal something (retain classified documents), see all of the people in your crime ring (politicians) getting busted, then you turn yourself in, it doesn’t make you righteous. You still stole and should be prosecuted. If you try to cover up your stealing, you should be prosecuted for stealing and the subsequent attempt to cover it up. It is illegal to retain classified documents. The intent or motivation or knowledge of doing so is not a factor… the act alone is the crime. The Clinton case is most closely aligned with the Trump case, and it is a travesty of justice that she wasn’t charged. Show me another republican who did something similar, and I’ll say they should be charged, too.
  12. This is true. However, the R vs. D debate on this thread, is us more “conservative” people calling out Bidens for being criminals and you more “progressive” people defending them, while readily admitting all politicians are corrupt. According to your argument above, you should be calling out the Bidens as well, not defending them. I’ll admit Trump broke laws, but that doesn’t change my opinion that the charges are politically motivated and unequally applied. By the letter of the law, Pence, Biden and Clinton all broke the same law regarding retaining classified materials… probably dozens (hundreds) of other politicians of both parties, as well. Charge them all. Put them all in prison.
  13. Twitter—>X cost something like $4B alone in loss of brand value. I have a feeling he doesn’t really care. He’s never not going to be unimaginably rich, no matter what he does. Even with “just” $1B, you can spend almost $55k/day for 50 years… it’d get boring after a couple of years, but I wouldn’t be against trying it. With his net worth right now, he could do Brewster’s Millions until he’s 720 years old, but he’d probably run out of stamps to buy after a while.
  14. It’s a matter of scales. He makes more millions in a month than you or I make hundreds in a year… I know I’ve wasted several hundred bucks on stupider things.
  15. He already said it was a temporary sign. Nobody with half a brain would think he’d get away with that being a permanent fixture.
  16. The letter was written on July 20 before the name change. It’s only been X for 8 days.
  17. No disagreement here about them both being shitbags. I think Trump would do his best work in the second term without having to worry about being re-elected. He would fully be the wrecking ball he won his first election promising to be. I also think Biden would do his most harmful work in his second term without having to worry about being re-elected (or living to the end of it). He will cater to the most “progressive” members not having to worry about alienating the centrists.
  18. Would it surprise you if they committed scientific fraud by skewing data inputs to produce a desired outcome? This happens all of the time from crime statistics to climate change to Presidential polling averages.
  19. Well, he is lying in the video just above in headshuck’s post. He repeated that lie over and over. The official language used by White House has even now become Joe wasn’t “involved” with Hunter’s business dealings. Reporter: Joe has said on more than one occasion he has never spoken with Hunter about his overseas business dealings, does the White House still hold that position? KJP: President Biden has never been involved with any of his son’s business ventures. Reporter: But has he spok… KJP: I’ll repeat, President Biden was not involved with any of his son’s business activities. Next question. … Funny how that morphed with the recent uncoverings. I’m sure it will continue to morph as politically expedient.
  20. What it’s going to come down to is if Hunter is charged under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, it is an admission that Joe is corrupt, even if Joe is never charged. Joe lied about having any knowledge of or discussion with Hunter about his foreign business dealings, because in doing so, it would’ve required Hunter to register as a foreign agent, which he didn’t. This would also show the corruption of the DOJ for their part in the attempted plea deal that would’ve ended the investigation into Hunter’s FARA violations. More likely to happen? Nothing.
  21. In a democracy, the appearance of corruption is as bad as actual corruption. It causes lack of trust and division to the same extent. It’s sort of like how guilty by association works… you, yourself, may not have done anything wrong, but because the people you’re associated do wrong, you’ll be judged the same. You can cry about it, but that’s life. If you appear sketchy, you will be treated as sketchy. That being said, in 2020 and into 2021, Zelenskyy was told he wasn’t doing enough to combat the corruption in Ukraine. He did nothing (“fired” a couple who complained they weren’t getting a big enough cut), Russia decided to attack, and we started sending tens of billions of dollars unchecked for the past year and a half. Congress attempted to take control of the matter and begin some oversight, but the democrats blocked it (Paul voted against it as he didn’t want a whole new office created for it when we already have an inspector who could do it). I suspect Biden would’ve vetoed it claiming it would slow down aid, anyhow.
  22. It already is. I wasn’t kidding about the yahoo comments. I had to stop reading them, because I felt like I was being trolled. Someone posted a link to the YouTube video, and the response was they’d never believe anything on YouTube because at least 95% of it is doctored or AI. It made me think a good EMP attack would do our country some good. Get back to where when you say something so stupid, you’re in arm’s reach of someone to give you a good whack.
