  1. Cary Kolat 4 times. 2x in Jr. High a major and regular decision. 1x at a summer tournament in high school a decision. 1x in freestyle by tech fall. All losses of coarse.
  2. Until recently PSU didn't have the depth where guys like Ryder or Mirasola might use a year of eligibility as a backup. I'm sure there may be others but Cassar and Bearclaw are 2 that became AAs after spending more than a year as a backup. Neither came to PSU with the pedigree of the guys that may lose a year or 2 on the team right now. So my opinion on your question is that it really hasn't happened yet to know if any would have Sr. level international success.

  4. I watched quite a few of Carter's matches this year, including the All-Star vs Keck. I don't recall thinking he was noticeably smaller in any of them until he wrestled Max.
  5. This, only I without the exclusion of Pitt. I will root for WVU as well. I live between Morgantown and Pittsburgh. I like seeing all the PA guys do well, especially those from the WPIAL.
  6. I would guess Thompson then probably Cassella.
  7. That's where I seen it as well.
  8. Using the formula above Plott is 4.5 since he does not have a win $ above .900. Berge is also 4.5, Bockman 2, Brenot .5 and Shumate shouldn't count since a quality win is vs the field and he is 197. This would give Keck 11.5. For Star you have Max at 6, Smith at 3, Ruth and C-W 2 and Washington .5 for a total of 13.5. You don't count the multiple wins vs the same guy.
  9. Quality wins only count once for each wrestler and how the match was won isn't a factor. There is a formula based on win %, coaches rank and RPI. The RPI ranking I used is Wrestlestat's, so it may not be 100% correct. Shumate probably won't count since he is 197. Starocci currently should be ahead in quality wins. Rec Win % CR RPI Pts Plott 18-4 0.818 3 2 4.5 Berge 26-5 0.838 6 5 4.5 Bockman 14-7 0.667 5 10 2 Brenot 20-15 0.571 24 30 0.5 Shumate 18-14 0.562 16 26 0.5 McEnelly 20-1 0.952 4 4 6 Ruth 14-7 0.667 14 12 2 Smith 20-7 0.741 10 9 3 Washington 13-8 0.619 27 28 0.5 Cartegena-Walsh 21-10 0.677 16 16 2
  10. Along with Alirez their new 141.
  11. Is Teemer actually in the portal or just rumors he may enter? The most recent lists I seen were from 5 days ago and he wasn't listed. Haven't seen anything posted anywhere, figure it would be bigger news than Barraclough if he did.
  12. I know a lot of these guys probably spent time at more than 1 club. Cenzo being one of them. I will always consider him one of Abe's guys at Pitbull though. I know he wrestled there through youth and into high school. Then went to Central Catholic where Abe was head coach. Another one of Abe's guys Nino claimed a title last year.
  13. So you are right and the rest of the wrestling world is wrong. The rule book is wrong and every one naming their team events are wrong. A duel is between 2 individuals and not between 2 teams. Each contested match by definition could be considered a duel. If you are in the wrestling world though you know it is a match, the same as boxing. It is called a dual for the number of teams participating. What dictionary are you using that states a duel is between more than 2 individuals?
