If USAW just takes the biggest check to broadcast Final X and doesn't care about the product or if anyone sees it, then that is USAW decision.

Is Lenny Pinto staying at 184? Doesn't look small but was 170 in HS and Willie has mentioned FeldKamp visited Nebraska and they were trying to get Truax to visit before the price went crazy. 

He also wrestled 86KG at U20 so could be nothing but Nebraska seems to have more a hole at 174 with Labs gone so the visits seem odd.

Minnow fan boy, much!  No way someone like Kemerer is going to put his body through the grind of a D1 season just to prove someone on the internet wrong, especially when Mineo does that on his own all the time.

Unfortunately being a married man with adult children does not eliminate extramarital affairs.    I am not sure how anyone could read what Bob has posted and come away the impression that this a man of high moral character.

Why?? Do you think they wanted Cannon more?  They were clearing in the 133 market.

Nagao also said he didn't plan to transfer after NCAA and then just woke up one day and wanted to test it out, but "no one offered him a bag" to go into the portal and that wasn't his motivation.  However, he ended up accepting a lucrative (even if not the highest) NIL deal and discussed $$ on his visits.  Funny how that works out.  

There hasn't been one transfer to yet come out and say "I transferred to this school because they offered me the most NIL money" 

Brooks keeps saying he might not come back next year.  Does anyone really think he is debating what classes to take next year and not using it as leverage to get a bigger NIL deal?  Or that 4 AAs just transferred to Michigan because the weather is so good in Ann Arbor during wrestling season?

Let's not be naive, money plays a big factor, and likely the biggest factor, even if kids don't feel comfortable admitting it publicly.

And to be clear, I am happy for all these guys for maximizing their value when possible and getting paid.  I am also fine with them down playing the money and claiming it was for the education, fit, culture, whatever.  I just take any quote they give with a grain of salt.

Message boards are for entertainment.   There could be some news in them but mostly rumors.

Flo/FRL is also for entertainment and occasionally you may get some news.  CP put out a video on Chittum that didn't provide any new information besides what Cody Goodwin already reported.  Was that actually news, not if you had read one message board that day.

I don't understand the issue.  People say dumb things on message boards and people say dumb things on FRL.

Yes, Murin didn't AA until his senior year, but he was Rd 12 every year prior.   

VV went 2-2 last year, with a win over Jaden Abas (just to tie into the Abas/Lee debate), and finished Rd 16

So objectively Murin was ahead of VV at this stage in he career.

Really??  Not questioning your information but Ferrari "commited" in March and the portal only closed last week.  Is Chittum leaving really a catalyst for other guys to jump or something else that has happened since the portal closed?   

And if you believe the rumor Anthony didn't get into Iowa, then it is all moot now.   

He did an interview recently (bader show maybe?) where he talked about watching the guys in the room and wanting to come back.  No idea on timing, but it sounds like he plans to return. 

I have always thought "coach of the year" is one of the dumbest awards, regardless of the sport.   IMO the coach of the year is always the coach who won the championship because he recruited/developed and then coached up his/her team to the best.  

To give it to the coach who finished 8th but everyone thought would finish 20th seems like a petty award.  " even thought 7 other teams beat you, congrats on not being as crappy as we thought"

Brands typically redshirts his true freshman unless they are title contenders.   I agree Arnold and Peterson look ready to compete, not sure they are true title contenders, yet.   Without a realistic chance at the team title, I would guess they redshirt and let their respective weights clear out this year. 

Same I would for anyone else who chooses this path whether it be Amine(s), Gomez, Finesilver, etc.

Don't mind at all their personal choice to go wrestle for another country, but it will suck as soon as one of them win Gold over the USA wrestler. 

I think most people know Spencer is not 100%.   But he is healthy enough to wrestle, at some level, in the NCAAs and US Open.   There is some hurdle, physical or mental, that is preventing him from wrestling back at NCAA or even trying to give it a go vs. Suriano. 

The questions now are will he ever get past that hurdle.

He made weight and is in the bracket at the #1 Seed. 

You lost me at golf fanatics don't care about the Ryder Cup.  Most certainly are interested in the results and cheering for USA (assuming American).  

I don't know anyone who was "devastated" by the results of the NCAA Team Championship, but a lot of people certainly care about it and it makes the tournament more interesting when it is a competitive team race. 

And unquestionably, Cael and PSU donors care a lot about the team championship.  There is a reason they are bringing in mercenaries at their weakest weights and not just trying to develop RBYs backup to be the best he can be and see how it goes.   Micheal Beard was a low AA, but as soon as Dean was available they brought him in.  I don't think they did it because they don't care about the team race.

Eierman will be competing 13 lbs higher than the last time we saw him.

Nagao like every transfer before didn't do it for the money.

The next transfer to publicly state that they transferred for "the bag" will be the first. 

For some reason, every fan of the team receiving a transfers believes it 100%.   

That doesn't mean that PSU isn't getting guys because they are unquestionably the best program right now.   They also aren't telling guys, no money for you, you come here to develop and be the best you can be... 

Teske will be a 6th year senior who has yet to AA and had his worst NCAA tournament up at 133 after finishing 7th at B1Gs

Nagao finished 5th in his first NCAA tournament in the same 133 bracket and was 2nd at B1Gs.   He also beat Mendez at both the B1G tournament and NCAA tournament. 

No one knows what will happen but I can certainly see the appeal of recruiting Nagao over Teske. 

Hopefully he steps on the scale and has control over his weight and health.   Not a contender but I imagine this was a goal to get back into shape.     Best of luck!
