    I hear about growing the sport and getting more media coverage, but did anyone watch the wrestler's press conference and coach's press conference? Ferrari showed up at the end, so there were four chairs and three wrestlers. Then the coach's conference had an empty chair next to David Taylor. Who was supposed to sit there? Very weird. C'mon, make it mandatory for coaches and top wrestlers to be available to the media.

    He could say he was happy for David's new career and wish him luck. That is what I would have expected from Cael.

    I watched Cael's pre-tournament comments and have to say I am disappointed. He was asked about the Okie State program and Taylor and he completely avoided the question. Cael, why won't you recognize the coaching success of one of your own? What's going on?

    Steveson has to this point wasted his career. He could have won multiple world championships and at least two Olympics. He could have then parleyed that into MMA. Instead, he got more tattoos, tried fake wrestling, had photos taken of him in a football uniform, and wound up back in college. C'mon, man, make up your mind.

    Other than a couple of mercenaries and Ayala, they have mid-level talent. No matter how well the Brands coach them, they will still be middle-of-the-road talent.

    I hate calls that depend on too much subjectivity like the backing out stall call. If you like edge wrestling, then you have to deal with subjective calls that can change a match. In my mind, if both feet go out of the circle a point should be awarded to the offensive wrestler.

    I just re-watched the beginning of his match with Little and you are right. I saw the gut.

    I am not a big fan of guys wrestling on their knees in neutral. It is not allowed in freestyle and it should be stalling in folk. Both Ferrari brothers are guilty.

    Gabe Arnold is overrated. He pushes and pulls but has no shot.

    I'm watching the gold medal match with Spencer Lee and there is NO ONE in the stands! I thought wrestling was supposed to be so popular in Eastern Europe.
