Wrestling totally corners the market on bad broadcasting : announcers. I feel like someone is cherry picking from lower tiered events vs the big ones

You’ll have to answer some of the questions above. I figure you came here hoping to get 50 people to agree with you and bag on these kids. The reality is. Wrestling is a #8-10ish most popular sport in men’s ncaa sports. There isn’t a qualified army of announcers sitting in their basement not working these duals. Plenty of knuckle heads here still bag on shame sparks or Tim Johnson or Burroughs or Dan gable who are some of the top tier announcers. Wrestling fans are some of the grumpiest fans out there. I remember arguing with people who didn’t want to pay for espn or espn plus to watch NCAAs. Where do you want this to go back to? When iptv was basically the only place to watch? fact of the matter is. This is the absolute Mecca of wrestling when it comes to access to matches. You can basically see every match of every tournament now if you want to. You can see every dual meet if you want to. Every second of every match at NCAAs is basically free. A few years back you only got 3/4/5 duals a year And maybe the ncaa finals. Then they added semis quarters consis etc.

Isn’t it one of the best / only way to build up a crew up competent wrestling broadcasters? I still wonder as we grow the # of televised duals you stretch the pool of existing announcers. It may be one of the only ways. It’s not like psu Iowa is getting kids. Mn nebby is getting the top crew. These are the second / third tier dials often.

Watching the big network now. Um v nebby. There is riding time on the screen. This is a marquee matchup today so the announcers are top of the heap too. seems to be great attendance in the camera angles I see too. How many fans does that place hold ? edit. They showed the upper deck. Not as full as I thought

We (wrestling fans) find a way to complain about it. Every year. Watch the events. All. Tape them all. Help get the ratings up. Give them a reason to make it a better product.

Where is this pool of talented wrestling educated announcers? I doubt there are tons. Over time it will get better. Be happy you get to watch.

I’ve made a comment similar to this before. If the D leadership were a sports team they would all be fired. They run the worst campaigns. I don’t understand why the actual lefties / the people of the party tolerate this. I saw a news caster claiming they lost not because their campaign stunk…. But because the American people just didn’t know how much they did for them lol. You can’t fix it if you don’t acknowledge it’s broken.

I really can’t imagine what it’s like to deal with politicians for a living. State local or federal. What a miserable job.
