Promotion is key - I’m not satisfied with those currently in place who clearly lack the ability to advance the sport to where it needs to be. The “big” names then are no longer valid today, at least in my opinion. The Big10 meets my expectations over all others combined, including the NCAA.

You seem quite pleased it got to this point, huh. A guy some of us enjoyed, eliminated by a few individuals who deep down inside know they couldn’t hold a candle to his contributions. Even the big shot of you all chimes in every now and then which only reduced his credibility even more. Why hasn’t D1 Men’s collegiate wrestling advanced like other sports? Well down inside during quiet moments, YOU (those who hate this guy) know why - don’t you. Take your fancy excel stats and stick them where the sun don’t shine because at the end of the day any wrestler at any time can produce results inconsistent with past results.

It’s just an observation I’m sharing with you, that’s all. The chorus of calls is coming from many different angles.

I used to teach this concept to my salespeople known as "212 The Extra Degree" and its applicable in work, sports and life in general. It involves giving it your all no matter what (in the case of wrestling - no matter how tired one may be). How many of the top tier IA guys have truly given it their all over the last few years? From my observations, many have not gone the extra degree to bring home an individual trophy, let alone an extra yard! The poster is right, its time for a change.
