  1. The guy is like 170lbs / 5’11 and is a legit power lifter. I know there’s a lot of talk about whether what he does is staged or not but he’s the real deal. I’ve watched alot of his videos which include other types of exercise and he is crazy strong for his size.
  2. Just saw the match for the first time. I just hope the Toms River, NJ local media gives him his doooos. What an inspiration. This is what it takes young people.
  3. “All class, love to see it. Dake loses to Takatani in Semis, and Takatani loses in Finals, and still, they share in the fun in the medal ceremony. No sour grapes! “ Win or lose, this is how it’s done when on the worlds stage. What an example he is to our youth coming up in the ranks! https://www.facebook.com/share/ZiEmTZF2toKwRKN2/?mibextid=WC7FNe
  4. Anatoly!!! Been watching his videos lately.
  5. Points 1-3 agreed.
  6. Forum MVP for a job well done this weekend.
  7. Yes he’s been awesome these 3 days.
  8. He still is in my mind.
  9. Very happy for him. He’s always been one my favorites. Can’t wait to see the match.
  10. It will be sometime before another wrestler achieves what he has by winning 4 NCAA titles at 4 different weight classes.
  11. That’s what we need damn it! A mindset beyond today that captures the spirit and determination to WIN like former Olympic champs from yesteryear. 2028 can’t come soon enough.
  12. Dakes mouth was WIDE open at the end of his match. Perhaps it was the terrible non meat food and lack of air conditioning in hotel rooms competitors were complaining about during the event that hindered their performance. Sarcastically speaking of course. Anyone see the pic of the Gold winning Italian swimming stud sleeping outside under a bench? Did you read what he had to say? Just kidding but in general this Olympics sucked! And that’s coming from someone who grew up during an era when the Olympics meant something to a devout PROUD AMERICAN CITIZEN. A BIG FU to those who ruined it for everyone else decades later.
  13. They got to go - many will probably end up here on the blue side. SAD indeed.
  14. I hope at this very moment every USA coach and assistant and decision maker is not only quietly thinking to themselves where did I go wrong but more importantly how do I quickly exit so others with more heart and soul and true love for the sport take the reigns and build back the brand to compete with the Japans of the world:
  15. Give it a few more centuries, we’ll catch up sooner or later.
  16. Always been one of my favorites
  17. You win the award for a mindset second to none. Great imagination- but nothing beats the zoot allure reference you posted yesterday.
  18. And his arms are exceptionally loooog!
  19. Many still don’t see the connection to disappointing results and those pulling the strings in the sport. Our wrestlers are not solely to blame. A huge portion sits on the lap of those in authority who control the sport. They suck at it and it’s only going to get worse. We got old out dated announcers who can’t announce, managers who can’t manage or motivate. coaches who think their good but really suck and then there are the demasculated “men” who are more like mice than men constantly taking from Peter to give to Paula. YOU are the reason why this sport is dying in America. Bow your head in shame MP and alike, YOU earned it.
  20. Supremely disrespectful? C’mon man - that’s ridiculous. It’s was never intended to be so. Don’t I have a right to my own opinion? Wrestling that mattered to me “finally started” - yes, that’s it. I had no idea some took it in any other way. The last 2 days were fun for me here, even without access to live wrestling. A lot you guys went the extra yard to share play by play for those without access. Happens once every four years so I’m glad I got to participate. Sorry to tick some off. Wasn’t my intention I assure you.
  21. Did he mean only one more match or one more attempt in 2028?
  22. Nah it’s more than that. You wouldn’t understand. He’s garbage to me and I understand what motivates a big shot like this to bully those he feels are beneath him.
  23. I’ve been in and out of this kids corner since watching him at regionals and states. Today he’s much more mature and confident in himself and you can see that during his interviews. He should ride the success of silver and begin a new journey involving coaching or something. He should forget about 2028 and I bet he does.
