  1. We got different info. Mine came from here: https://www.ncaa.com/history/wrestling/d1
  2. 1963 Oklahoma with 48 points. Iowa State 2nd with 45 points.
  3. 52.1 points to win. When’s the last time that happened?
  4. It could show Rutgers in first place, but who’d pay any more heed to it than they do the individual rankings? They’re obviously flawed. Unless that’s the minimum requirement for entering the tournament.
  5. What’s the point of the qualifications?
  6. I didn’t; he made a good show the other day. i was going to say the same thing to you about Plott when you said: or just 174 Wittlake 184 Haas
  7. Will Lee bump up to wrestle Fix? Oh, I guess that’s another thread.
  8. At nationals.
  9. They could wrestle it as an exhibition.
  10. I think the premise is wrong and WS is right. Lee helps Iowa more by pinning Steen than by beating RBY.
  11. It’s purpose was to promote more action, making the sport more interesting and preventing inaction as a strategy. A lot of people find it distasteful for a ref to award points. With a restart in a different position the action is likely to pick up and the wrestlers still have to score their own points, just like penalties in other sports.
  12. Stalling is problematic all the way around. It’s boring to watch, it doesn’t get called consistently, and the idea of a referee awarding unearned points is bad. If they’re not going to call stalling on the top wrestler- okay, but don’t award points to a superior top wrestler because an inferior wrestler can’t manage to escape without exposing himself to a turning predicament. I suggest that at a second stalling call, stop the match and restart it with the non-stalling wrestler having choice of starting position; limited to bottom or neutral if he was on top when stalling was called. That’s my suggestion, anyway.
  13. Tell us about the exhibitions please.
