  3. Y's all over the place in Welsh
  4. surely there is a y in there
  5. following up on this - how did you know that? And what does the process look like for suing anonymous people?
  6. you know I'm game. thanks for the reminder. I'm getting beat up at work right now and will make my picks right afterward
  7. to be fair, Bronc being short for Bronco means that the mascot is just as much of a darkhorse as a cowboy. but the logo made me wonder
  8. It was actually a misprint on his birth certificate, but he's actually Bernie Trua XIV - in which case the Trua family goes back many more centuries
  9. Will you agree to take the case pro-bono even if you are understandably anti-Bono after the Burwick debacle
  10. If you're not a lawyer and you cannot donate you can still help by eliminating your local pedophile (by any means)
  11. I think we all know what this is about. Putting aside personal grudges against any of these guys - isn't it time for wrestling to band together to stand for what's right? Let's get our legal resources in the wrestling community on the case. Cornell has good lawyers I heard. Also - Nick Lee's dad? Let's stand alongside those who were brave enough to call out what happened
  12. was actually a train from Warsaw to Vilnius, but since I don't speak Polish, I didn't catch what she was saying when I bought the ticket.
  13. two wins over Augustine who has plenty of wins over the rest of the field. In turn, I selected Augustine as my darkhorse
  14. the saying "call a spade a spade" goes back to ancient Greece apparently. wonder if its the oldest saying we still use
  15. had no clue he was born in Belarus. I went there once by accident, but was deported after they held me in the train station detainment cell.
  16. I find it interesting that the wrestling community seems to be largely independent-minded and fiscally conservative in such a way to discourage the philosophy of relying on handouts. In the case of college wrestling, the sport doesn't turn a profit in any school (as far as I am aware) and so in spite of believing the former, we require donations from others (either individual donors or profit from other sports at the same college covering our tab) just for the right to exist.
  17. Gabe Hixenbaugh wrestled four years at Campbell with one of them as a starter. This past weekend, he won the Division II title for Montvale and was the first national champion for Montvale in any sport. At the same time that NC State had Jakob Camacho, Jarrett Trombley, Stevo Poulin and Anthony Noto, they also had James Joplin - who has similarly found success at DII Lander with 3rd and 4th place finishes the last two seasons.
  18. Most definitely politically incorrect and perhaps harmful and insensitive. If so, I do apologize. That was just my understanding. CHATGPT has other ideas
  19. When I wrestled against Mike Sees of Shikellamy, they told me he was a dwarf. They were wrong of course. He was just incredibly strong for a seven year old
  20. My understanding is that dwarves have normal people sized heads but small bodies. Midgets have a proportionately small body overall.
  21. Okay I'm going to use a foul word according to today's moral zeitgeist: it was a village of dwarves and midgets
  22. https://www.timesherald.com/2014/02/10/delaware-countys-midgetville-mystery-or-a-bit-of-local-history/ the article is wrong - its not an urban legend. I was there
  23. for serious - where I grew up - there is a village of small people - with small houses and everything. my buddy drove me through it
