I never liked this guy much, but after watching his interview, I was impressed. He came across as a superb athlete, physically AND mentally. I think a lot of us were a bit prickly when we were competing, feeling and acting better than everyone else, but that's a part of the mentality that makes you good.
He's still young and we all make stupid mistakes when we are young. I think he's toned it down, focused his mind, and deepened his faith in whatever makes him strong...it doesn't matter if it's religion, or an amulet you wear, or wafting sage smoke over your body with an eagle feather, or a gumby doll. If it makes you feel good you will be stronger. I'm not going to fault him if his zen is different from mine. The power of the mind, most of you will agree, is imperative in wrestling.
And he is entertaining.
Wish I had his abs.
