Looks like we have a new winner for dirtiest wrestler

@poorwrestler Uff da, you are certainly not in an optimistic mood. Not sharing my results list, but I've got what I think is a realistic 5-5 match count... with bonus points deciding the dual. It'll be extremely tough, but MN can get this at home.

You are hiding behind a brand new username because you don't have the courage to use your real username. That shows a serious lack of not only courage, but also intelligence and creativity. You obviously aren't a particularly bright bulb. You seem fixated on the word 'assault' ... I used it as a metaphor. This would be a good chance for a dim bulb like yourself to learn something. Google it. PM me if you are still confused. I am always available to assist fellow wrestlers who want to do better for themselves. -

This guy isn't dirty, he's downright criminal. That wasn't wrestling, that was 'assault with intent to do bodily harm.' He needs to be disciplined by removing him from eligibility for wrestling. Good time for him to start his MMA training. Whichever of his coaches were aware of what was happening in the match and did nothing to stop it, they need to be harshly disciplined. -
Spencer - get standing O at Penn State?
GreatWhiteNorth replied to Dark Energy's topic in College Wrestling
I think it's clear what I'm communicating. There is no expression of surprise in my post. So, no, no surprise. What's your point? -

Yes, it's true... Folks here are calling out other fans for not cheering the way they think they should be cheering. Some kind of crazy going on here. -
Iowa v PSU - Jan. 27, 2023
GreatWhiteNorth replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in College Wrestling
He does. Cass is pretty strong with upper body... but he can also get thrown. Against a good guy, I'd say he's better than 50/50 but not much. -
Micah Parsons - PSU Football - quit wrestling
GreatWhiteNorth replied to Dark Energy's topic in College Wrestling
Micah was being polite. I, for one, appreciated that. If he was being bluntly honest, he'd say "Easy choice, no money in wrestling. NFL is where the money is." -
The Big One: ILLINOIS versus Minnesota
GreatWhiteNorth replied to ILLINIWrestlingBlog's topic in College Wrestling
I have always enjoyed using the 'I-Mart' nickname in posts, even posted the clip from Evil Dead that it originated from. But - it is copyright 'Gantry', he is the Edmund Hillary of the nickname. (Speaking of, where did Gantry go? Anyone?) Saturday's lineup is full of questions at this point - the appropriate amount of gamesmanship and mystery for "The Big One", no doubt. Gotta tune-in to see! It's 1pm CST Sat (tomorrow) on the B1G Network... yep, that bat-time, that bat-channel. -

Gotta ask. Who's the IlliNoise character that looks a lot like Batman? I'm thinking maybe I-Mart? "Shop Smart, Shop I-Mart!" This dual is going to be gritty across the board. Illinois has been wrestling tough. Gophers will have their hands full. It may well be "The Big One" on Saturday. -

Not posted for me, but as long as I'm here I thought I'd chime in. Mack Reiter's regular partner is Danny Williams (yes, the Danny-Mac show!) but last week he partnered up with Dustin Schlatter. Was also very, very solid. Fatty-free Hwt match is worth the entry fee alone. Should be a barn burner... and with outside temperatures in the single digits, that will be welcome. (4) more matchups you pointed out are all edge-of-your-seat. That makes (5) don't-miss matchups total so far. Basically, guaranteed fireworks. As others have said, it may come down to Hwt, but that depends on where we start. Nobody should be surprised to see a different starting weight. One last bullet point... McKee is big. Maybe it's your TV, or maybe your eyeglass prescription needs a refresh. Patrick is all of 125 and parts made of brass. Really looking forward to our guests from Illi-Noise. -
Tom Brands hasn’t seen anyone better than Lee
GreatWhiteNorth replied to Eagle26's topic in College Wrestling
Pssst... LJB, post some clever stuff to 'gather the troops' (whatever that means.) It'll show a valiant effort. -
I'll take 'valiant.' I like it.
-
LJB, upon hearing he was a silly boy, had one of his eyes roll out of his head onto his cracked iPhone screen. Good news is that he's got a 2nd working eye, so he's off to the Genius Bar to get his screen repaired. Drive safe, LJB, drive safe.

Yawn... a neutered criminal ex-president is kind of like a casserole stuffed into a freezer... best forgotten. It won't get any better with age, just constantly worse.

Bits of your post have been struck because none of that rant applies to the current conversation. It's just diversion BS. I've made my position on the depth and seriousness of the capital punishment discussion clear. Your use of the 'big boy pants' phrase indicates you are not serious enough or mature enough (or both) to be in any legitimate discussion. Your flippancy is showing. Your deep care for protecting innocent human life is interesting. Seems heavily dependent on which lives you feel are innocent enough or not - to be protected or to be killed as punishment. As if it is simply that binary. The depths here seem to be lost on you. I don't see any path for a useful discussion with you going forward. We'll have to agree to disagree.
-
People who I know in law enforcement and military talk very little about their experiences shooting or killing others. It's not that they think their actions weren't justified or 'right' as much as that they are very mentally and emotionally deep topics that aren't necessarily appropriate for group conversation - in particular, with those that don't appreciate the depth. Wasn't inferring anything, he has stated his position quite clearly. It's a very difficult problem. I admit I don't have the solution - but I know it isn't being flippant about taking another person's life.
-
Still weirded out that you so doubtlessly favor having people killed. Not a good fixation for you... or anybody. Just weird.

Maybe some volunteers to assist? Just a thought. -
Outstanding match... without a doubt, one of the best so far this season.

Trump announces he is running for Prez again
GreatWhiteNorth replied to mspart's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Art, that post wasn't directed at you. I was responding to Bigbrog. In any case, I think you and I have come to the same conclusion: You have posted factual forms, and we've both agreed that there's much more shenanigans behind the scenes. News outlets are reporting things that make little sense that are getting people riled up. We don't know what the truth is yet. But riled up people are taking sides before we know the answers (perhaps this is why the news outlets are purposely reporting the way they are.) -

GreatWhiteNorth replied to mspart's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Also agreed. I've seen articles saying he only paid $200 in taxes in some year or another. I take all those articles with a grain of salt. They all feel like their only purpose is to get us all riled up... and, in turn, to derail us from focusing on the important part. If Trump did commit fraud (which we don't know yet), then I'd like to see him pay the consequences. Wealthy criminals, even if they are politicians or celebrities, should be held as accountable as you or I would be. If Trump didn't commit fraud, then it ends there. This all reminds me of the Gable Steveson fiasco where quite a few posters here called him out as being guilty as soon as news came out that he was being investigated. Same situation for the J Rob fiasco. At the end of the day, it gets sorted out and we all stop guessing with limited information. -

That's fair. But it's also funny how some people want Trump to be not guilty of something without evidence, either. As President, his policy was to sign whatever the Senate put in front of him. Otherwise, watching morning TV, golfing and putting on rallies took most of his time. Until his final months in office, at which point scheming and plotting a way to stay in office despite having lost the election took most of his time and effort. If you're referring to the Republican party's policies, I understand that. That's fair. But those were hardly Trump's. He did very little positive work as a president - a monkey trained to sign his name could have done about as much. On the other hand, he did quite a lot of harm to the country, and he seems to show no sign of regret. That's why I despise him. -

I agree with you. It's the "shenannigans in all the other pages" ... that's where any tax fraud would be found. That was my exact point. These few lines of final numbers don't prove anything either way. HIdden in the complexity is where any potential fraud would be found. We shall see.
