  1. Like, obviously Vega is very good - but I'm still surprised by that beating he put on Raney.
  2. I think there is an argument that JB got maybe an extra 2 or so medals while fending off Dake and DT purely because the qualification process was stacked heavily in his favor. Not saying he wouldn't have made the teams regardless, but he definitely was sitting on a massive advantage for a few of those years. Also that one year they just let him box Dake lol.
  3. I'm just curious how many ex-pats wound up at world representing other countries? Would love it if the US could send more people in a similar fashion - was nice getting an extra medal with RBY. I'd imagine we'd be very successful if we could send more of the ladder out.

  4. John Smith Kyle Snyder Jordan Burroughs Bruce Baumgartner This seems pretty locked in to me for now, my question is - can Dake get on this list without OLY Gold? I'd say he's 5th on the list now.
  5. Lock these in for 2028 Levi 86KG - he is never going back down. Davino 57 KG - He has the frame for 57 Jax - 65KG - Plenty of room to fill out Blaze - 65KG - No chance he makes 57 - beat Bo last year.
  6. Antrell Taylor is a really good answer here. Might be the king of the Anti-Wrestlers using all other skills to win. Amazing accomplishments for a guy I've never really considered anywhere close to the best "wrestler" at this weight.
  7. Very true. Gave Levi the tiebreaker with the world silver.
  8. Above Jordan Oliver but below Ben Askren.
  9. Get outa town he beat a defending 2X champ and one of the leading hodge contenders in the final.
  10. I mean this makes sense. Antrell is one of the best heels in the sport. Constant extra hard hands to the face, dumping people on their heads on every mat return, shut down all offense in big matches then win in rideouts. He's very physical, just not when trying to generate his own offense. Perfect heel.
  11. He may not be as exciting, but his body of work is inarguably better than Jax's this year. He straight up doesn't make any sense. In a weird way he reminds me of Dake because he is so incredibly problematic to wrestle in folkstyle. There's just no good gameplan for him. It's like watching the slenderman out there or something.
  12. Both opponents are stall merchants who rarely initiate any of their own offense. They paid for it. I do think Minto will realize this and become more active moving forward.
  13. Joey Blaze - who also has a redshirt available.
  14. AJ probably just didnt want to make weight today.
  15. Will be interesting to see where both wind up next year. Maybe Vtech?
  16. Might be a weight thing. The tourney is pretty rough on those with deep cuts.
  17. 1 year anyone can get lucky. 2 years and you're a chosen one.
  18. I was referring to the Miller thing. That's got to be the worst of all time.
  19. Nah, this is an iconically bad call. Not quite top tier like getting actual scoring wrong or not calling an obvious pin. But this has gotta be the 3rd worst I've seen since watching the tourney over like the last 30 years.
  20. What's the math on the team race? Is it over?
  21. Looked an awful lot like fleeing to me.
  22. Both can be true. Though I'd argue PJ locking up a cradle, being close to exposure, the ref calling a td for him while he still had it locked up with like a minute left and would have inevitably scored, is easily the worse call.
  23. Don't worry, his brother will rebound taking out Yonger in a dominant 2-1 rideout win where Bastida takes all the shots and tires himself out.
  24. Justice served. Angelo is the best 184, maybe he finds his offense next year. He can't really be stopped when he goes.
