    This IMO is one of the bigger problems in schools right now. Most teachers aren’t able to contain/control an entire classroom on their own anymore and need a support person to help with the undisciplined students. Kids aren’t getting the attention needed and fall behind because of it while the resources arent there to help them catch. No kid left behind is over.

    The favorite parent thing is definitely real. That being said even when the intent of each individual parent is in the right place there’s still only one parent nurturing at separate houses. It’s just basic math that when there’s two parents in the same house as the kids they will get more attention, communication love, support, discipline, accountability etc…. Can it be done. Absolutely. It’s just not going to be as easy.

    This is very true. Teachers, principals and counselors will take the easy road out of any parental confrontation and it’s not necessarily because they want to. It’s because they know they have no backing from higher administrators. The parents know it too.

    You can also draw a direct correlation to PARENT vs parents. The family unit as a whole is no longer revered like it once was. Kids with single parents are immediately at a disadvantage.

    Don’t forget the Covid lockdowns. In the blue state I live in the scores/results have decreased significantly since the governor kept the kids at home.

    - Buchanan and Heinsilman both bailed on Kish before the season. In post NCAA Tournament interviews both talked about how this years coaching made a huge difference in their results. - Gavin Sax finished Round of 12 in 2024/went backwards this year - blue chip recruit Hockaday flips to Nebraska - his old school NDSU whom he pillaged of talent had an All American and more points at NCAAs - Next year better be a good one
