  1. Potentially some great coaches there, but... A lot of these guys who are being mentioned may have the tools, but aren't in the college ranks. Unless they have an "in," I imagine it would be tough to get an AD to look at them. Kemp, Mocco, Dake, Burroughs, Askren, Slay, Humphrey aren't in college rooms or (more importantly) offices. An AD isn't going to want to take a chance on a club coach who is going to violate multiple NCAA rules and create headaches for the AD. I'm not privy to individual circumstances, but it is certainly possible that Slay (for instance) has a great relationship with the Penn athletic department and they'd love to hire him. The same could be true for any number of the other guys. However, knowing athletics like I do, most ADs are going to be risk averse and in full-time CYA mode. You'd likely need a "visionary" type AD, someone plugged into wrestling, or a pre-existing relationship to get an AD to hire an RTC coach or club coach.
  2. He's actually said he would consider the right job, recently!
  3. Prob because he beat JB. JB is still actively complaining that Geduev was doped to the gills. That keeps it out that.(JRE podcast)
  4. Both. Two metals (medals) for second place in a duel.
  5. It doesn't say the "bout time", just when the cards begin.
  6. It IS normal amongst Olympic combat sports. One bronze was abnormal.
  7. As opposed to all Russians? He beat Burroughs. (and he just looked ridiculous) That is all I can think of.
  8. Talk about "lame." Are you saying this was a drug deal? Nice edit, too.
  9. No. I am saying that hopefully criminals read your post and discard all their weapons. It would be a safer world.
  10. I truly hope the criminals read your post and throw away their weapons.
  11. A term such as "state sponsorship" probably does not go far enough (though I have been known to use it). "State mandated" is likely more accurate.
  12. It may have hurt Russia more. For instance, lot of Dagestanis who would have likely been wrestlers have picked up MMA instead. These guys may not have competed in wrestling for Russia or in big tourneys, but went to MMA young. Dagestan doesn't have an unlimited supply of young men, and I think MMA may be taking away from their wrestling demographic.
  13. Cue the Radiks and PA/Taiwan's of the world: Why do you always accuse Russia of cheating? PEDs don't help! His technique is flawless! Steroids don't give you better technique! Taz wouldn't dope, He isn't musclebound! How dare you suspect Saduleev, he's an all-time great, and really chill!
  14. I just found ... something. I was less than impressed. I also will not be linking.
  15. Then why are you here, in this thread, and still responding?
  16. TBH he did adjust his expectations when he heard Shapiro was attending Cornell. Apparently attending Cornell is more closely related to D1 wrestling success that World titles in Ban's universe?
  17. Stop changing the topic. Junior/U20 World champ. But you only follow UNI...
  18. No... we are talking world champs, not "next big things.' You are responding to a thread about a young man who is a proven commodity, which was largely demonstrated by him winning junior worlds. That is a lot of the buzz here.
  19. There is no such list. You literally saw THE list. The ONLY lists. No busts. How would you know if you only follow UNI?
