  1. And I think that's when Askren says that Messenbrink had his turning point. Made stylistic changes, and we now see a very different wrestler today.
  2. People don't seem to be quite as high on Sealey as they were a year ago.
  3. Yeah, that is the case. I don't think they have enough money at that institution to afford those scholarships. Duke is really struggling financially, by all accounts.
  4. I have also heard that NC State was looking into leaving. Did I hear Big 12?
  5. Stanford hits UNC, NC State, Duke one weekend. The next year they hit UVA and VTech. That won't be too bad at all.
  6. This works out pretty well for wrestling. Other sports, not so much. Better have some good pitching for baseball! Stanford wrestling could handle a weekend (every other year) where they travelled to the Triangle to wrestle the Wolfpack, UNC, and Duke. Not great for your bullpen's arms in baseball.
  7. Not if he takes his Olympic year. But he's also not transferring to Stanford.
  8. How does Andrew Long fit into all this?
  9. Actually, I think they are.
  10. Wouldn't Penn State even be "more full circle" for Koll?
  11. Yes. When Spencer went out and Suriano went in, Michigan surpassed Iowa for oldest starting lineup in the nation.
  12. Is Iowa actually the oldest now, or do you jest? There were Iowa age jokes, when Michigan had the oldest roster, and now some of the PSU guys are starting to get long in the tooth. I wonder where Iowa actually stands now, especially with the supposed upcoming suspensions.
  13. ... from the comfort of a padded chair in front of a food stained keyboard.
  14. He's from NC, and it was about five years ago. Also Jax Forrest and Joe Sealey are from NC.
  15. Have you seen Chris Perry lately?
  16. I have mixed feeling on the man, but to be fair, he was still in college when he made the team. That was pretty good back in 1988.
  17. Exactly. Here is a clip of Cael showing that identity is not at all tied to results on the mat. https://www.flowrestling.org/video/5848636-furious-cael-sanderson-throws-cube-towel-and-chair-and-is-ejected-from-world-team-trials
  18. Keep in mind that PD3 got the US some points, as did medalist Joe Colon who was technically a "backup."
  19. One of them is reportedly a 90% tear.
  20. Geez guys! This is 100% what happened. I guess I should have included a laughing face? (Take this from a guy with an IT band issue who changed his stride to compensate for the IT band and ended up with Achilles tendinitis!)
