  1. My thinking as well. I think right now their optimum weights would be somewhere between 174/184 but I do think down the line, with the current crop of 184lbers we have (I am talking young gents like Rogers, Berge, etc) that 184 will be the weight to talk about in 2-3 years.
  2. Like in the neighborhood of 4-2 or less on all sides with Arnold being in deep a few times.
  3. At 6'12" tall will Wick be the tallest 86 KG gent there?
  4. We are getting off-topic here, and I apologize for my part in that. IF Arnold takes the mat against Wittlake it is going to be a barn-burner of a match. I don't necessarily consider it a toss-up, but I don't think Wittlake is some head and shoulders above Arnold favorite. Anybody who does should pay better attention.
  5. Another thing to consider, in regards to 2021, was that up until NCAAs the B1G wasn't allowed to wrestle anyone aside for other B1G programs, were they not? Seeding was entirely fckd up there to boot.
  6. 165 was watered down because of the allocation criteria given to the EIWA. Injuries are injuries and happen everywhere all the time. I wouldn't have used injuries as justification. O'Toole was going to wrestle either way. Askren was adamant on that at the time.
  7. So you agree. He hasn't beaten an All-American since the 'watered down' year? You understand why it was watered down, correct? It isn't an opinion. It is what actually happened.
  8. Last time I implemented the shocker, the Wife was (pleasantly) surprised. It was an interesting Tuesday evening to say the least.
  9. Also tOSU damned themselves when they were posting these the other day...
  10. I have been saying: - tOSU for THE Ohio State University - OSU for Oklahoma State University - OSUW for Oregon State University OSU gets the trump card. Even as a fan of tOSU it is hard to gain any sort of leverage on this...
  11. Mine doesn't matter. For his I assumed 2.5 considered a 3pt TD.
  12. Have I been saying it wrong? I have been blasting OSUW all over the interwebs and twitterspheres.
  13. I think Wittlake is a 0.5 point favorite. I don't think he holds an edge on the feet at all and I believe it will come to mat wrestling. If the line is 2.5 for Wittlake I am taking the under.
  14. Only until Penn State starts up a women's squad as well.
  15. I don't think that Wittlake is a wash. I believe he wrestled the tournament of his life in a watered down 2021 bracket and hasn't been right since. Most recoveries from injury are mental and not physical. After seeing ThugMassa G get his moxy back his final year, I hope Wittlake can do the same. The only version of ThugMassa that I think beats his RS-Frosh 32W-3L 3rd place finish is his ThugMassa Final Evo version. We haven't seen a version of Wittlake yet that beats his 2021 4th Place Finish version.
  16. You need to watch Arnold's matches from this last summer. The crop of 170lbers that just came through in him, Welsh and Barr are guys that are as ready for NCAA D1 as we have seen for 170lbers coming out straight away. If you don't think Arnold is in this match than you know nothing about Arnold. Wittlake hasn't been the same since he AAd. If he is healthy, that is great. I will root for him until I am blue in the face. We haven't seen AA level production from him in years, though.
  17. I am not trying to say Wittlake is a bum, sorry if it came or comes off that way. I am trying to explain why people will believe this is a match. There is enough data to suggest that Wittlake is not the wrestler he was years ago. Including a 2-0 lackuster victory over the perennial contender Mark Takara of Utah Valley. His worst win this year is far worse than Arnold's best win this year, which is a 14-7 victory over his own teammate Will Carano. All this said, I expect a one score match and it is a coinflip as to who will win. I want Wittlake to succeed. That said it will not surprise me the slightest if Arnold wins.
  18. Seems to be right about market value now-a-days.
  19. Okay then... sell me him properly. Has he beaten anybody that has earned AA honors at 174lbs? What about last year at 184lbs? What about the year before that at 165lbs? The answer is no, so again: Sell me.
  20. Wittlake of 2021 is not the same as Wittlake of today. He hasn't done anything to make me believe he is on another level than Arnold, who is ready right now to compete for AA honors. Who was the last All American he beat? I will give you a hint: It was the consi-semis at 165lbs in the watered down 2021 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
  21. Turdbiscuits is the name of our band. For some reason PJ let me have the final say. I was surprised. He was pushing for Deuces so our first album could have been Drop the Deuce. I was sold on it as well but some random text at precisely 1:25 AM (US - Eastern) simply saying "You win." sealed the deal.
  22. Pretty excited at the opportunity to see Facundo at 174lbs.
  23. I know Johnny D basically said he for sure is challenging. Do we know who else is (or isn't)?
  24. Isn't the ASC on Tuesday? That is what I am talking about. https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/11454566-haines-teemer-set-for-157-pound-all-star-classic-clash
