What are the chances Ono enrolls at Penn State?

No one can see WKN's post. The only place it can be seen is where you quote him in a later post. -
Realistic worst case scenario for Penn State
Coastal replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
The worst case scenario for Penn State would be if an internet troll claimed to be a Penn State fan and a few gullible people believed him leaving them thinking that Penn State fans are dumber than a box of rocks. -
Yes he will. That doesn't make this whole though as the rightful qualifier is the one who loses by Little Rock's blatant cheating.
-
Little Rock was told at the start of the season that he was ineligible. The fact that they lied multiple times to a couple of conference officials who are too busy looking for other jobs that aren't in a dying conferences to give a damn doesn't make him eligible. If anything, Little Rock should be looking at forfeiting the entire season and put on probation.

If you are in Philly, I beg you to go to the corner of Kensington and Allegheny especially after dark. If you make it out alive, you'll change your mind.

If they let him wrestle, someone like Humphreys, who is in the exact same situation and they didn't let wrestle, could easily argue in court that this decision cost him millions and I'm sure there are others in the same situation. Since there's a math matrix, it's possible that someone isn't an NQ because Brennan wrestled the season if they don't let him wrestle in addition to the PAC-4 runner-up. Even with a losing record, the runner-up would look a lot more attractive as a high school wrestling coach if NQ is in the resume. That's worth something.
-
They won't rescore the season but by rights, they should. If they let him wrestle, they'll get sued and lose. If they don't let him wrestle, they may get sued but for not nearly the damages and have a chance of winning
-
You are missing one other point. If he's ineligible, all of his wins become forfeit losses. That may change the dynamics of seeding, quality wins, hell it might even change who qualified. Brody Baumann of Purdue has a "quality win" over Brennan. If Brennan is out, that's no longer a one. I don't know if that changes Baumann's seed but it might for example

Who do you want to see LOSE the most at NCAAs?
Coastal replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
The hired guns have showed they'll sell their talents. I wonder how many would accept if someone offered $2 million to "have back issues" and sit out this week -
It would be interesting to see what heavyweight would look like if it was still unlimited. Not Tab Thacker heavy but NFL lineman 340-350 and in shape.

Matt Ramos defeats Spencer Lee…2 years later
Coastal replied to Masonbuckeye's topic in College Wrestling
Not as weak as Lee's attempt at fighting off his back. -

I'll need to get stock in Lens Crafters. -

I wouldn't think that Ramos would pin him in the first every time. -

One thing that people tend to forget is that even without the pin, Ramos was still winning that match. -
Bouzakis is going to transfer but this just shows the problem with wrestlestat. They weigh pins too heavily. A wrestler who pins a good opponent rockets up the elo. An inferior opponent can pin a better wrestler. An inferior wrestler can never tech a better opponent. While pins are the ultimate goal, computers should recognize tech falls as a much better indicator of performance.

If "The Point" is that you suffer from a severe learning disability, no one missed that fact.

We are not missing the 2 pts for falls. Everyone except the pigtail wrestles five matches to take 1st. At 2 pts per fall per match, the most bonus a wrestler can have is 10 bonus points if they take 1st. Again 16 pts for placing 1st, 10 points for pinning all five opponents and 4 pts for advancent. There is no way an individual can score 40 pts in a single NCAA championship.
-
Don't most tOSU wrestlers suffer the same? High end recruits that have their best results early in their career. Rumor has it that Micah Jordan still hasn't gotten off of bottom.

It is in my world.

It's a shame that the coaching philosophy has ruined Ayala. Their practice one move until you can't get it wrong philosophy has made Ayala a one trick pony. Anyone who stops the slide by/slide by single beats him. I'm waiting for someone who pulls an RBY and just doesn't engage with their right side.
-
Your math is incorrect. The max points from the #1 seed is 16 for placement, 10 points for a pin in each of the five matches and 4 points for advancement in each round. If one was the 32nd or 33rd seed, they could score an extra 3 points, one for advancement and one for a pin.

What are we supposed to think about Tom Ryan?

In the future, just add the fox sports app. Watch the hour free preview of the Big Ten Network, delete the app, add it again and watch another hour free preview. Works great for duals as you can usually redo the app during intermission. Also check with your mobile phone provider as they often offer free upgrades like ESPN or Fox Sports that very few people take advantage of since they don't advertise the freebies. -
With the College in High School ability to earn credits, anyone who wants can easily graduate in 3 1/2 years. A lot of student opt for 4 as more companies are looking for employees then and grad schools typically start in the fall so December graduations don't really have a huge advantage.
