Khaled Dassan or KDTrained. Ryder and Duke are also at that club.

Valencia takes out Woods late

Thank you. I 've been poking around a little and didn't see this. I'm liking this more and more.

It would be easier to follow on dashboard if mats 3 and 4 weren't Greco and mat 9 Women. FS is on 8 mats...why not 1 through 8?
-
Yes they are. I like that the upcoming bouts are listed under the mat in dashboard also. Bouzakis and Tomasello in the hole on 2 for example
-
Once you figure it out, these brackets/dashboard are really nice. The estimated clock is a nice feature.

It Was A Historically Bad Year For The #5 Seed

It Was A Historically Bad Year For The #5 Seed
Coastal replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in College Wrestling
A lot of the 5 seeds really had no business being 5 seeds. Figs really did nothing during the season to earn that spot. Serrano was over seeded, Happel placed. Parco was injured, Cannon was over seeded having a record propped up by opens. Ramirez is historically bad at NCAAs, Ruiz placed, Berge was over seeded thanks to a lucky '24 tourney, Beard struggles at tournaments due to weight issues, and Keuter placed. Figs lost to Daugherty at the BXII tournament and really showed he was either having weight issues or HEW. Didn't deserve the 5 seed. Serrano got the seed by winning BXII but that was an insanely weak weight in that conference Happel lost to Hardy and then Composto. I guess one could argue that he should have beaten Composto and took 4th instead of 5th Parco had freak injury. Unfortunately that happens Cannon was tOSU's starter for the entire season and got a lucky bracket at BIGs to make the finals which got him the 5 seed. If Miller wasn't the 1, getting majored by Kasak anywhere but the finals and he isn't the 5. Ramirez is a blood round professional. Ruiz did as well as could be expected lost to Haines and went 1-1 with Devos Berge was either injured or just broken by Allred in a wild match Beard is too big for 197. He's much more beatable on Fridays Keuter got a bad draw in wrestlebacks. Shultz is just too big for him. -
And the interesting thing is that Sanderson has never been accused by anyone who matters. I mean it's a proven fact that the disgraced Dan Gable is a cheater.

Brooks did have recent surgery and not competing does not exempt an individual from WADA/USADA testing. Brooks still has to submit whereabouts...
-
Carter was the only top ranked wrestler who wrestled. National champ vs. National champ was a match everyone wanted to see. The rest of the lineup was pretty boring. Could have had Allirez/Mendez, Otoole/Haines, Gable/Kerk. Instead we get boring matches like Haines/Devos.
-
There were only a few matches worthwhile at the past All Star Classic. So many top guys are turning it down that there's only a few each year.
-
It matters greatly. A "champ" getting blown out lessens an event. Events like the Southern Scuffle and Soldier Salute are lower level events as multiple weights don't have wrestlers who would All American later that season.
-
For this to succeed, they really need Oklahoma State to blow everyone out. There's a chance that Penn State shuts out all the BIG teams invited. It would look really bad to the event if one of those teams won.
-
Why would other schools go dumpster diving when there's a perfectly good grocery store open? The only young talent Iowa has is Ferrari and most schools don't want to touch that name.

Did PSUs weak schedule ruin starocci’s chances of the hodge?

Unfortunately for Penn State, being in the BIG means they are forced to wrestle patsies like Iowa and Nebraska, teams that can only win a couple of matches at most. -
At one time, the arena would erupt if an Iowa wrestler lost. Now Penn State has that mantle. When an Oklahoma St wrestler lost in the early rounds, Iowa fans didn't even react. The same way that most neutrals are ambivalent towards Iowa now. At one point it was love them or hate them, now they only really matter to neutrals if they are trying to poach a wrestler.
-
Hendrickson won via the fan vote as he lost the other vote. Two large fan bases in Ok State and Iowa went all in on him. One wanted him, the other hated Starocci.

Iowa hits its 60% transfer starter quota again

Spencer Lee is balding, has bacne and took more than 4 years off of USADA testing. Weird. -
Which College Wrestler Would Have the Biggest NIL Deal?
Coastal replied to WrestlingRecords.com's topic in College Wrestling
You are right, Sanderson would never leave Iowa State for a better option. -
Incentives for NIL are illegal.

There are terrible ways to improve and then there's Iowa idea. Bailey makes Lewan look like an offensive juggernaut and it's probably a terrific idea to give someone like Williams, with a partying issue, hundreds of thousands of dollars. I wonder what he'll spend that on.
-
Now that Sasso is done wrestling, can we finally admit that it was a drug deal gone bad?
-
NCAA testing is sort of a joke. USADA will test most competitors since most of the high end college wrestlers will take part in freestyle season. Mesenbrink was subject to additional testing due to making the US National team for example. The only way to avoid PED testing is to be like Spencer Lee and suspicously skip four years of freestyle.

Best Wrestlers to Never Win an NCAA Title
Coastal replied to WrestlingRecords.com's topic in College Wrestling
McHenry is a 4 time champ if there was a 112 weight class. Great wrestler who is just too small and just doesn't belong on a list with the likes of Teasdale or Garret Scott who threw away their talent.
