Carroll was listed as a R-Fr on Wyomings roster and SO on wrestlestat. Not sure which is correct but he's not out of eligibility.

How does B10 Heavyweight get seeded? Ferrari - Lost to Feldman 2x, beat Mirasola and Ghadiali Ghadiali - Beat Mirasola and Feldman, lost to Ferrari Feldman - Lost to Ghadiali and Mirasola, beat Ferrari 2x Mirasola - Lost to Ghadiali and Ferrari, beat Feldman I think Ferrari gets the 1, but the 2-4 I could see going any combination of the remaining 3

Fishback is very good and has certainly proved he can go with everyone in the top 4, but he's lost each of those matches. He did beat Allred, but he also lost to him. Until he wins one of those matches it's hard to see him being any higher than 5-8

I agree with you that the current year should outweigh prior year, however if you were going to push the post season back even a couple weeks in my eyes you'd see reduced participation from the top teams regardless of the cash prize pool. The NCAA sanctioning a dual team title is unlikely to ever happen no matter how much the fans want it. It seems unlikely to me that PSU would go no matter what. I don't think a Ohio State would participate this year given Cannon and Stiles have been out, Bouzakis sits every once in a while. Iowa is missing Ferrari, Keuter was hurt and looks like a shell of himself, Bailey is out, Peterson has been out. Oklahoma State and Iowa State have dealt with injuries in the last couple weeks. In my mind the risk outweighs the reward at this point in the season when conferences and NCAA's are the most important, now you could change that if it was a sanctioned dual title, but I don't see that happening

Your layout is a good idea, but you run into some likely issues if you take certain champs and runner ups vs other teams. The PAC-12 runner up between LR and Oregon St is likely better than both the SoCon and MAC champ and runner up, the conference being basically non-existent aside. The 5th and 6th best teams in the B10 is also significantly better than most teams from any other conference aside from the B12 and ACC, plus Cornell. National Duals this year was pretty good using the previous NCAA team finishes plus the random draw. There's certainly ways to improve upon it, but that's something for the tournament organizers to figure out

Wrestling credentials of the Flowrestling guys?
mksioszk2 replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Tyler wrestled at Michigan, JD wrestled at Nebraska-Kearney, Bray wrestled at NAIA Northwestern in Iowa, Bader wrestled at Missouri, Kozak I believe was a state placer in Michigan. Pyles started wrestling in high school and self admits he wasn't good. Spey I have no idea. They've talked about it a couple times here and there on FRL -
From the schools perspective I would think they would call it a win. As a wrestling fan I don't like seeing any programs get cut. It's a double-edge sword really, on one hand wrestling programs are generally pretty cheap to run but on the other hand they don't generate any revenue compared to football and basketball. I think that's why Willie beats the drum of endow your program so much so you don't end up in the situation of a Boise State or Old Dominion. Even if you're at a big P4 institution like a Penn State, Iowa, Oklahoma State I don't know why you wouldn't make it a priority to do that. Obviously there's other factors now with NIL, more scholarships and roster management.

I will maintain that Boise St being cut for a failed pet project of a baseball team is the greatest travesty in my almost 30 years on this earth. Despite not having a team for almost 10 years they still have more AA's since 2000 than good teams like Pitt, Rutgers, Wyoming, SDSU, West Virginia, and Purdue. I will never forgive Bob Kustra for what he did
-
Certainly could be an error in the formula I used. I do total 80 AA's for each of the seasons since 2000 but I may have auto filled Iowa with Iowa State or something of that nature. Since Cael took over in 2010 Penn State has 96 all americans which is 80.6% of their total AA's since 2000 and in that same time Iowa has 84 by my count.

Below is a list of the total AA's by Team since 2000. Was a fun little project I threw together. Some interesting facts: Boise State (RIP) leads all the dropped teams in AA's (23) Hofstra and Central Michigan had some great runs in the early to mid 2000's Browns last AA was in 2014, Buffalo in 2004, F&M in 2014, Sacred Heart in 2007 and SIUE in 2017. Of the teams that have not had an AA since 2000, 2 have been dropped (Cal Baptist and Clev. State) Team Total All Americans Iowa 133 Penn State 119 Oklahoma State 117 Minnesota 113 Ohio State 84 Cornell 83 Michigan 82 Nebraska 82 Missouri 70 Iowa State 67 Illinois 58 Lehigh 57 Virginia Tech 53 Arizona State 51 Oklahoma 51 Wisconsin 48 Northwestern 37 Edinboro 34 Central Michigan 33 Northern Iowa 32 NC State 31 Stanford 25 Indiana 23 Oregon State 23 Boise State 23 Hofstra 22 Penn 22 North Carolina 21 Pittsburgh 20 Michigan State 19 Cal Poly 18 Rutgers 18 American 17 West Virginia 17 Harvard 16 Purdue 16 Virginia 16 Wyoming 16 Maryland 15 Navy 14 South Dakota State 13 Kent State 12 Lock Haven 12 Princeton 12 Ohio 11 Rider 11 Old Dominion 10 CSU Bakersfield 9 Clarion 8 Duke 8 Appalachian State 7 North Dakota State 7 Northern Illinois 7 Air Force 6 Army 6 Fresno State 6 Binghamton 5 Bucknell 5 UT Chattanooga 5 Utah Valley 5 Oregon 5 The Citadel 4 Columbia 4 Little Rock 4 Northern Colorado 4 Bloomsburg 3 Campbell 2 Drexel 2 CSU Fullerton 2 Brown 1 Buffalo 1 Franklin & Marshall 1 Sacred Heart 1 SIUE 1 Eastern Michigan 1 UC Davis 1 James Madison 1 Boston College 1 Bellarmine - Cal Baptist - Cleveland State - Davidson - Gardner-Webb - George Mason - Long Island - Morgan State - Presbyterian - VMI -

Hall beat Valencia again on 12/14/18 4-0 in the Penn State vs Arizona State duals

Spend 5 minutes on HR and you'll see reading comprehension isn't their strongest quality.

As of 45 minutes ago the Hawkeye report seems to believe that McEnelly is in the portal. Haven't seen anything anywhere confirming it. Would be very disappointing for MN.

I agree with you. I did it for 2 years as a consultant of sorts and just prepared quarterly financials and that was basically it. I had no insight into anything donor related, and mind you I'm not and never have been a Wisconsin fan in any sport. I quit doing it after 2023 because it was such a mess. I like Bono as a person from the limited interactions I've had with him, he really is a nice guy. However, it's well past time he leaves Madison.

That is annual revenue, additionally they (WI RTC) had $317k of revenue, $203k of expenses and had $430k of total assets in 2023. You can see a better breakdown on ProPublica for every year they have filed a tax return. You can also see directors, members of the board, etc. I was the treasurer for 2 years so you'll see my name listed on the 2023 information as well.
-
The RTC brought in about 1.4 million from 2016-2022 and the actual budget is top 20 in the country. The excitement was there for a brief period but really started to fall off once they missed every elite in state recruit in the class of 2024. 2023 revenue for the RTC dropped $60k. Take a look at the WI forum and you'll see that even the staunch Bono supporters are starting to turn.

It's been a rumor I've heard for at least the last 2 years. Like I said idk how much truth there is to it. I would love to see him come back and coach at AWA and have Max as the Wisconsin head coach. I think it would instantly make them more competitive and that would be better for college wrestling overall, and I say that as a Penn State fan for the 16 years I've been watching college wrestling out of the 26 I've been alive.
-
I don't recall if it was on here or the Wisconsin Wrestling online forum or I heard it from someone face to face, but there has been a rumor that the reason Bono got an extension was to restructure his contract to change his buyout clause and he's getting canned after this season. How much truth there is to that I'm not sure, but I do know there's been a long standing rumor that Max Askren wants Parker Keckeisen to come back to AWA North Shore after this year and take over full time coaching. Whether that's for him to go to Wisconsin or just to have more time with his family I don't know.
