I think Sacred Heart has only 2 Scholarships and have possibly biggest D1 Team in D1 ..50+ on D1 roster Heard Hofstra was a fully funded Program ( 9.9 ) ...30 on roster

There are a couple of Programs that need better leadership and would improve their Programs 1- Hofstra...The Pride were very good and The Program just keeps going backwards every season in a very good HS wrestling area...Dennis P. had his shot and it didn't work out 2- Sacred Heart...Get a Coach that will have the capability to have his 50+ wrestlers in a wrestling room that has more then 1 mat..good school in Northeast and close to NJ, PA and NY...right now they have No clue how to get this Program going

Agree...I remember 40 years ago when D3 teams in NJ had multiple D1 AA and D1 Champions. Really wish they still invited D2 and D3 Champs to NCAA Tournament

Yes but Lehigh also refuses to Wrestle a Dual Meet against Rutgers these days...The 2 schools are 48 miles apart....They wrestled in a Dual almost every year since 1941....Rutgers Won a match in 1950 and then didn't Win again till 2013 (63 years) Most blood baths for RU.......Lehigh went 2-2 against Rutgers from 2013-2017 and that was it....Lehigh has Not wanted any part of their neighbor ( The State University of NJ ) since in a Dual meet

I was really surprised I read Duke doesn't give out any? I thought they were around 4 at least. I know all the Big Programs give out all 9.9 and that's not counting the Real Big Programs that can add NLI $ and they can add recruits with Also some schools have it down to a science on how to get as many Elite recruits/transfers on campus as possible with NLI and Academic scholarships. Pretty sure Sacred Heart gives 1 scholarship and that's why they can't be competitive in D1. I don't think anyone is better at bringing in numerous Elite wrestlers then Cornell. The Ivy League doesn't give out any Athletic Scholarships, but the Elite Ivy League Athletes are not paying anything or a small amount. What about D2 and NAIA Schools? I know some of them offer Scholarships.

Lehigh has taken a big hit with the dominance of Cornell and the emergence of Princeton and Rutgers who are right in their backyard. For a long time Princeton and Rutgers never was competitive against Lehigh. Not sure Princeton can keep it up but Rutgers will be good every year and probably better or just as good with Lehigh...In the 70s and 80s Lehigh was the Wrestling Power in the Northeast without a question...Until Goodale came aboard Rutgers lost 53 years in a row to Lehigh...Times have changed!

The 1st match for Rutgers will be a very easy win against a weak Duke team ( should be shutout ) . Cal Poly will be a much better opponent, but a convincing RU Win ...Looking forward for season to open
