  1. If I had to guess, and I'd have to guess, I'd say Myron Wodewick. Sorry, couldn't resist. Myron Roderick, maybe Tom Chesbro? Maybe John Smith?
  2. What shocks me about NIL, considering OSU has nearly bought themselves an NCAA football title (congratulations by the way), is that they ran out of money before buying a podium level wrestling team like the other OSU. Talk about fuc*** up priorities. MIzzou should be able to match OSU moneywise.
  3. This will probably sound stupid, but I wonder how his match times of day correlate with his point production? Maybe his blood sugar fluctuates wildly over the course of every day? Maybe his diet is what's messing him up.
  4. Don't look at me. I got fixed back in 1984.
  5. I think traditionally the assistant head coach is considered, at least, a very strong favorite as a potential new HC if the old coach retires or takes another position. Scott had reason to think he was that guy, and I think it was implied that he would be the next guy. On the other hand OSU has a right to do whatever they think is necessary and John Smith retiring opened up a tremendous opportunity to land David Taylor. Taylor has done a great job and I don't think there's any doubt OSU is a lot better than they'd have been if Smith had hung around or if they'd hired Scott. They got several elite transfers they'd have never gotten otherwise. Still, I think Scott will probably get a HC job somewhere else. He's already shown how good he was before.
  6. It surprised me that the Hawkeyes pulled down Angelo when I heard they dropped AJ. Obviously he's wrestling great. I wonder if he's going to transfer somewhere else after this season, or if he stays at Iowa because he likes the program and the Sr level training there? There is another Ferrari on the way, right?
  7. I don't know how Taylor could be blamed for anything. Coleman has a right to a grudge against OSU though since he was the unofficial coach in waiting. I'd love to see Scott get the job at Wisconsin. The Badgers deserve better than they have right now. Badger fans would be yoked over it.
  8. Some states don't require many dentists. Oklahoma, for example, has more dentists than it has teeth.
  9. Pffffft, there are lots of jobs in Oklahoma. Just none that pay a living wage! True fact: 15% of the people in Oklahoma collect government monetary assistance. TOP THAT OHIO!!!!!
  10. Not really a good counterpoint by Goodale. We had national duals for years and no such point was made.
  11. The OSU/Iowa dual this year should be a blast and will answer some of our questions. I think OSU has more work to do to catch the Hawkeyes, but I've been wrong before.
  12. That snot nosed punk Karelin is lucky he didn't wrestle folkstyle!
  13. Looking at Intermat's rankings Iowa has 7 guys in the top 8, and OSU has 7 guys in the top 8. Minnesota has 4 in the top 8, with another 2 right on the crusty edge of making the top 8.
  14. He got fired the next day. Eagles fans are the biggest a-holes among NFL fans, and that's competing against Dallas Cowboy fans. https://sports.yahoo.com/foul-mouthed-philadelphia-fan-banned-230919642.html
  15. In that case you should probably avoid the following movies: Cannibal Holocaust, Green Inferno, I Saw The Devil, Terrifier, and Terrifier 2.
  16. Good call. I'd take a 1,000 pound brown bear over a 6 pound lemur as well. I'd even be prepared to give odds. From what I understand if the tiger bushwhacks the bear then the tiger wins most of the time, and if he doesn't get the drop on the bear the bear nearly always wins.
  17. Chimps aren't smart enough to learn how to do a kimura. Oh, but neither is Austin DeSanto
  18. I don't understand your reasoning.
  19. There's nothing wrong with Cam's wrestling skills. He's a great defender and has some good takedowns. There's something wrong with his approach.
  20. But he doesn't have to be a low scorer. He's got some pretty good takedowns in his arsenal, and he's a great athlete. I just can't understand wrestlers with no sense of aggression.
  21. Taylor doesn't have to sit Cam out to make him wrestle. Taylor can do the time honored method wrestling coaches have used for thousands of years to motivate their wrestlers: he can run his ass off. Another mile of running every day after practice while all the other guys are heading for the showers should provide ample incentive to take more than 1 shot a match. Unless it's one of those towel-whipping hellscapes in the shower like I had in college, in which case he might be happy to run the mile instead.
  22. Is that you, Grandpa?? Just kidding. I like the 3 point takedown, I think it's done a lot to incentivize guys towards more aggressive work in neutral. Do you dislike the 3 point takedown?
  23. I saw a guy get a reversal a couple days ago and thought the same thing myself. If takedowns are going to be 3 points, so should reversals. Also, and most of you guys will hate this, I think a point should be awarded for every minute of riding time, with the proviso that the top man is trying for turns.
