as far as Dake first he is old. but more important.. and im going to be crucified for this... b/c he is really good and I love watching him too etc etc but i see him a little like the kid who doesn't listen to his coach. i did this once and im going to keep doing it... you can't tell me how to get better etc etc i mean he argued with the entire arena for like 5 minutes.

in fairness everyone has different styles... everyone has different styles to prepare for. but i agree, isn't much of a team atmosphere. we dont have the money to run a true team and training camp like the russians probably did. i would think we used to run a camp like that.. but was it really successful? i mean when gable ran it... i can remember some stories about gable working them... and guys were like ... what the... is this... I wonder what japan has in place

i remember in the old days... i would bring guys in to do camps. and every break, they were on the phone, arranging their next workout partner and booking flights to go work out with them

i would agree with this... but is this a problem? it allows people to train where there is support... emotional, financial, familial

the step out is not wrestling if we really feel this much about staying in bounds... put it in the octagon. cage matches!! however, as i have said many times edge wrestling is EXCITING

why do we need a new team? as people are posting in other threads? we were supposed to win all these medals lol

im wondering where the better product comes from? you do have 'higher' level wrestlers... but more exciting? the thing that makes ncaa less exciting is that PSU wins every year. that will still probably be the case... and that many of the high level duals are blowouts... but at an evenly matched dual... it's exciting the shot clock does NOT improve action. guys just wrestle thru it. no extra attempt.. nothing SOME have begun attacking the guy on the clock to gain an extra point... but not many... most just take it as a time to relax and stall

i watched a little... mostly just for background noise. i didn't even watch wrestling this year unless usa was in the match
