  1. The folks at the RNC looked less than enthusiastic to be there. Kamala Harris is certainly going to win the popular vote. How it shakes out in the electoral college remains to be seen.
  2. He won't have the same pep in the step but who knows. Maybe he will get a "leave your shoes on the mat" moment.
  3. Front page of this site
  4. A typical mantra of some people is "I ran a gauntlet and suffered, and so must you". The boomers and to a degree Gen X were given an economic cheat code with low barriers to entry for the housing market. The modern market is much more difficult and even renting is cost prohibitive. Hence we see mult generational households and kids not moving out.
  5. Gymnastics will always be rife with controversy. Judging is not objective. She should refuse to return it and the US contingent should fight it.
  6. Think he will qualify? If so, will the weight be watered down? A world title is still a title no matter who shows up.
  7. trump attempted an insurrection, why do you prefer dictators?
  8. Not being trump is a good enough policy to me. Harris, like Biden brings a sense of calm and re establishes respectability on the international scene. I don't want the orange one answering the phone at 3 am.
  9. Jan 6 ring a bell? Or you being intentionally obtuse? Or just dishonest?
  10. Sorry, this horse is dead, gone, and already used as elmer's glue. Carry on without me.
  11. It's a dead horse. Now we are talking about the Harris nomination. Pushing Biden out was sort of a mini coup after his horrible debate (while likely sick with covid). His nomination was not contested and thus there was no other primary results to fall back on. In this situation, Harris made for the logical front runner and for the sake of unity and short notice, no one else threw their hat in the ring. That was well within the rules. Biden's delegates did become free agents, but with no one else running they pushed their support to Harris. Again, all well within the rules. The only ones calling sour grapes are Republicans hoping to sow chaos within the Democratic Party ranks. Maybe they should look at their own chaotic ticket with the faux hillbilly and the increasingly decrypt ornage guy.
  12. Again, Clinton had more delegates. You can claim to be as non contentious as you like. The fact still remains that Hillary Clinton won the nomination despite a closer than anticipated race. Sanders had no path to the nomination.
  13. She had more delegates. Try again.
  14. No, you don't remember right. Bernie never had more delegates than Clinton in 2016. It was just sour grapes and revisionist history. And by virtue of the fact that trump refused to scede peacefully, that alone makes Harris a better candidate. 2024 was an uncontested primary, so the results of the 2020 nomination hold no value today.
  15. There is nothing in the rules that states a convention has to be contested or that the primaries have to be reopened. An incumbant dropping out this late in the game has never happened that I know of. The VP does make for the most likely front runner. And the delegates were free to choose others but for the sake of continuity and a singular goal of beating trump nominated Harris. She will make for a far better President than trump.
  16. A new head coach will almost always have some house cleaning.
  17. The IOC is never going to add more weights back. It isn't about medal count, it is about number of participants.
  18. 119 should be the lowest weight.
  19. And you are an azzhole
  20. Because this is a wrestling forum and there is nothing else going on right now. I didn't realize I needed your permission to be here.
  21. I barely even watched the Olympics this year. FILA/UWW made it as boring as paint drying.
  22. Pushout is almost as dumb as the ball grab and two out of three period era.
  23. Pushout is a terrible rule both for international and domestic folkstyle. This isn't sumo.
  24. The NCAAs will never go freestyle so remove that from the conversation. UWW will have totally different rule set before the 2032 Games. Changes happen too fast in international wrestling for the NCAA to keep up.
